Whistle in the Dark

After years of inner turmoil over my role in advancing autonomous weapons, I've decided to blow the whistle on the unethical data practices of my former employer - one of the largest tech giants in the world.

I have terabytes of internal emails, reports and research detailing how the company deliberately obscured the military applications of their AI projects from users and employees. With this evidence, I'm confident I can trigger major regulatory reforms to increase transparency and oversight.

But taking on such a powerful industry doesn't come without risks. When I contact journalist contacts to arrange publishing of the documents, my phone suddenly breaks into strange glitches. Files start disappearing from my encrypted drives.

I go off grid, hoping to lay low until the scheduled publication. But strange men start following me, and one night they attack with tasers as I'm walking home, grabbing my bag with the last remaining hard drives.

Panicked, I know my days are numbered. These tech companies clearly have no issue using their own autonomous tools to protect their financial interests, no matter the cost. With no other options, I decide to smuggle the information directly to lawmakers instead of going through the press.

I arrange secret meetings with sympathetic Congressional allies, giving them limited access to a small portion of the files so they understand the significance of what I have. They're shocked by the revelations and vow to protect me.

But at the final handoff, things take a dark turn. As gunmen burst through the doors, it becomes clear my allies have been compromised. I'm now a liability that needs eliminating. With nowhere left to turn, I'll have to outwit my pursuers and uncover who exactly has been manipulating the strings of power from behind the scenes if I want to survive and expose the truth.

The race is on to dismantle the web of deception and corruption before it's too late.
