Janna Reed managed to beat cancer as a teenager not only with the help of her Aunt May and her best friend Bailey, but also Zander Slade. Zander was a singer in her favorite band. During treatment, Janna found out that all of the powerful medicine was killing of her eggs making her infertile. As a teenager, she didn't care much. The only thing Janna cared about was one day meeting Zander Slade to thank him for being one of her saving graces. She also dreamed of a day they may also just fall in love.
Skip to Janna celebrating her 30th birthday, living her best life working as an esthetician, she has her own loft in Kentucky (though she dreams of the West Coast), and she is surrounded by people who love her. Including her favorite client Ellen who just so happens to have ties to Zander Slade. When a meeting is set up between Janna and Zander, things go way better than expected and an accident happens which changes the trajectory of things forever.
