Connie left for America with her daughter and Sam, they'd spent four years in America before they moved back to Holby. She had a family with them and it was great at the start, but Sam would always be Sam and Connie would always be Connie.

Six years on and everything seems to have gone back to the days when Connie was pregnant, she just wanted someone who had eyes for her and only her, but that wasn't Sam anymore.

Title is from the song Try - Nelly Furtado. Heard it and this is where the idea sort of started from :)
