The Demon King, Balrok, has a death grip on the continent of Kahtaer. He can terrorize and kill all he wants. No one has the guts to stand up to him. He can even kidnap Cahtyl Tes Raven, the Lady Of The Shadowlands, and rape her. When Balrok discovers that Cahtyl has given birth to his twin children, he sends his intelligent warhorse, Fehnir, to kill them. Instead, Fehnir leaves them with separate families, intending to come back one day and save them. Fifteen years later, Zand and Talnerr, a girl and a boy who have no idea of the other's existence, are attacked by demon soldiers who want to kidnap them. They're saved by a black warhorse named Fehnir. They find out that they're Balrok and Cahtyl's lost twins, and Balrok will stop at nothing to have them killed. They eventually decide to deal with the demons once and for all, with the help of the cautious elf Willohshai, the spirited young girl Astrid, the mysterious vampire Lunareclipse and Fehnir, the Warhorse Of Balrok. WARNING: This story contains violence, some abuse, and one mentioned (but not depicted) sexual assault.

Some say that everyone's fate is already determined. If that's the case, Estelle Marzena is greatly disappointed with hers. Her greatest dream is to participate in the Illyrian Blood Rite and become a Carynthian warrior, like so many in her family. She has been training for the Rite her entire life, and yet, she continues to be told that she isn't ready. Estelle must find a way to prove her skills to her mentors so that she can prove her skills to the world, and she might have unwittingly stumbled across a way to do that. Being the bastard son of the High Lord of Dawn isn't something Mikael Anik takes lightly. Despite his parents' love and acceptance, Mikael continued to feel the pressure and unease of his people. His birth parents never married and he is a Peregryn halfbreed, the likes of which had never become a High Lord before. Mikael is devoted to proving himself to both his fathers and his people, but can he do that and deal with a surprisingly irritating Shadowsinger at the same time?
