Are men and women truly from different planets? Yes, at least in my experience of 44 years with a quirky male, my husband Wayne. This books is a series of snippets highlighting the differences. Each section is a short peak into differences, some humorous and some serious. All are based on anecdotal evidence as opposed to scientific observation, although occasionally I may reference a study that buttresses my bias. In addition, I have included essays on relationships in general.

When I was four, my family moved from Pascagoula, Mississippi to Alaska. Daddy was minister, and he went to Alaska as a missionary. That made me an MK, missionary's kid. This is the story of my experiences from age 4 to 9. Memory is a strange thing. Some of what I remember vividly, my mother said didn't happen the way I remember it. While Mama recently passed and is not around to argue with my interpretation, I apologize ahead of time to my siblings whose memories might vary from mine. While the story is based on my memories, I have added fictional details when my memory of those details fails me. This makes the story more readable. The bulk of the story takes place in Fort Yukon, an Indian village north of the Arctic Circle. While Indian may not be the politically correct term today, it was the word used for native Americans when I was a child and so that is what I will use.

I thought to myself, I could not possibly be the only teenage girl out there who wants to grow deeper and stronger in faith. I could not possibly be the only teenage girl out there who is struggling in living the Christian life. There has got to be other teenage people out there who can relate with what I am going through. So I had this idea of posting this for people out there to see. This is not a devotional. This is more like a faith journal. How and what I write here is like how I write in my notebook that is just between me and God. Only, I'm sharing it with you.

Sawyer's an outcast. Omari thinks he's perfect. Wendy is afraid of love. Lloyd doesn't understand what's going on half of the time. Asante is... interesting. All of them are tackling the ups and downs adulthood brings and it's just one big ball of confusion. The choice to perfectly maneuver their way through growing up is theirs really. But it also isn't. In this book, I will attempt to answer questions about the Pentecostal movement and what we believe. Questions are welcome and encouraged. However, if you are here to start an argument or throw insults, then please do so somewhere else. Different viewpoints are tolerated, but immature and hateful remarks are not appreciated.

God has a plan for you, and is always calling you to do things even when you are not aware of it. I am definitely not a master when it comes to religion. I don't have a degree in Christian studies, nor am I old enough to even attend college. I'm just a young, 14 year old Christian girl, however I have a strong relationship with God. I have seen God working through people in my life to help make this world a better place. In this book I plan to talk about how God called me to follow his plan, and hopefully help you grow in your own faith journey as well.
