Hello, I am a student and volunteer firefighter in Germany. I am a fan in great Fanfiction and have a lot of...complicated favourites as you can see in the Reading lists that are so far filled up. Just make sure you follow the respective writers of those Fanfictions. Have a great day/night and don't crash and/or cause havoc amongst each other. 
I don't think I have to say again, but my books are off-limits for politics, unless I explicitly dare to put it in by myself. Only then you may start a conversation about politics and other historic events, lest it goes sideways.
