I am a writer and artist currently living in Southern California. Though I've been a writer for most of my life, it took on new meaning for me when I was diagnosed with depression after a heart attack five years ago. Now what was once a hobby and beloved pastime has become a way for me to deal with the depression by being able to almost literally 'shut off' and lose myself in my work.
