Constantly torn between "Every first draft is perfect, for all a first draft must do is exist" and "I'm a terrible writer, I quit"

Everything in my life is a distraction from writing. It's the only consistent desire in my life: to write. No matter how many days I spend at my keyboard every morning I wake up and reach for it as desperately as a mother who craves her newborn.

However! I'm required to pay bills so I got my CDL in 2020 and drove a semi tanker for a couple years. Between 2011-2019 I had about 2 dozen jobs ranging from pizza delivery to dispatching but somehow I always ended up in the transportation industry because travel is the only education I care for. I've been to most US states, also Brazil and Jamaica. My favorite place? Wherever I haven't been yet. My family consists of my passport, drivers license, and GPS. Sometimes I visit Utah where qualified adults raised me and there are other small adults who share some of my DNA.
