Chapter 14

Jacob's P.O.V.

I scoot up to lay right next to Dustin molding my body to his. I have this constant desire to touch him at all times in any way possible. I look into his eyes and see the love he has for me. My heart just warms in my chest as I lift my hand to his face and caress his cheek gently and say, "Thank you!" The smile he gives me just completes my day then with all my emotions behind the words I say to him, "I love you!"

He wraps his arms around my neck as I wrap mine around his waist and snuggle my face into the side of his neck. He starts to run his finger in the hair that lays on the nape of my neck and says, "I can't believe you love me and want to take care of Aiden and me. I can't ever thank you enough." "You don't have to thank me, just be with me and have some patience with me as I get used to you and us.", I respond.

"So am I to assume you've had enough for now?", he says with amusement. "For now yes. YOU need to eat and since we pretty much abandoned brunch, I'm hungry so I know you must be starving too.", I reply. He chuckles as he replies, "You know I was ready to eat until someone distracted me with dessert." I couldn't help but laugh my ass off. I think he likes it when I laugh because the smile he had on his face shows brighter than the sun and God is he hot when he shines.

As I went to get up from my bed, I felt Dustin come up behind me on his knees and run his hands down the ridges of the scars on my back. My intake of breath was sharp when I feel him pull his hands away and say, "I'm sorry. I d-didn't m-mean...." I cut him off by saying, "Please don't stop. Your touch soothes me. You make me almost forget that they're there."

I feel him come back behind me and touch my back and I begin to feel a stirring in my stomach. Then he starts to place the gentlest of kisses all over my back and I can feel the smile on his face as I start to breath a bit heavier. "You will not distract me from the task at hand Dustin. You need to eat, please.", I say to him as I turn towards him and plant a chaste kiss on his lips as he smiles the entire time. "Okay, okay let's go!", he huffs jokingly.

I pick him up off the bed and we begin to walk towards the kitchen to attempt another meal. I turn to him again and say, "Dustin, I need for you to understand that I won't allow you to go hungry. I can't wrap my head around that. I need you to be healthy for me. I'm in too deep now."

I sigh and hug him so tight. I look into his eyes as he says, "I promise. I'll take better care of myself because now I just don't have Aiden to take care but you too." Did I mention how much his smiles affect me, yeah right to the pit of my stomach...
