Blaire's pov

"So you're Blaze? I rarely hear anything about you, until recently, you've been surfacing the news. Spiderman's side kick." Michelle said as she showed me an online article.

It was a photo of me and spiderman in the sky. Spidey swinging with his webs and me soaring next to him.

"You two make a perfect hero couple." She smiled, placing her phone down.

"Couple? No no no. I don't even know what he looks like or who he is.. for all I know he's some old guy." I said sighing.

"There's someone else isn't there?" She stared at me, eager to know more.

"Yes.. but sadly enough that someone likes another." I sat onto the couch in defeat.

"It sucks seeing the person you love chase after another. Humans confuse me." She said.

"But.. you're human." I looked at her confused.

"Am I?" She asked. We both laughed slightly.

"I better get going. Need to find a dress for homecoming." She got up, getting her things. "Alright.."

"Hey. If this guy doesn't ask you to homecoming, we could always go together as friends so we're not alone." She said smiling.

"Thanks, MJ.. I appreciate it." I closed the door as she left and stared at the floor, thinking about home coming.

School was almost coming to an end and tomorrow night was homecoming. I was hoping that Peter would ask me but I doubt he would. He's not around much lately and I'm lucky to even see him in class but other than that no sign of him.

As I was walking the empty halls of the school to go meet with Michelle, I heard two students having a conversation. I looked to see that it was Peter and Liz. I hid myself behind the wall, eavesdropping in on their conversation.

"I guess you already have a date to homecoming." Peter said.

"I was.. so busy planning it that I never got around to that part so.." She responded

"Wanna..go with me?" He asked her.

My heart sank when I heard those words escape his lips. Maybe I was wrong that he'd like me. I was so stupid to think that Peter would like me!

I held back the tears from pouring. I was too late. I should've spoken to him when I had the chance.

"I'm actually going that way."

I heard footsteps approaching and quickly ran away, not to end up talking with him after over hearing his conversation.

Peter's pov

The smile from my face faded as I saw someone running down the hall, her familiar backpack told me it was Blaire.

I was confused as to why she was running out of class but I shrugged it off and headed on my way.

-

"Aunt May! I need your help!" I slide into my apartment excited for homecoming.

"You got a date?! Oh I'm so happy for Blaire!" She said and I looked at her slightly confused.

"Blaire?" I asked.

"You..didn't ask her?"

I ran my hands through my hair, letting out a small sigh. "No.. I asked Liz." I responded and she frowned, walking over to me.

She smiled and nodded. "Let's get you prepared for this homecoming!"

I couldn't help but feel bad inside that I didn't asked Blaire but.. if anything the person I would've taken to homecoming would've been Blaze.
