Chpt.10 Near

Blaire's pov

"Okay, where were you?" Uncle Tony asked as soon as I entered the apartment. "I went out with a friend. Needed fresh air.." I said.

I noticed a box on the kitchen island and looked at him confused.

"What's that?" I asked. He smiled, taking off his glasses and placing it next to the box.

"It's for you of course. Homecoming. Your dress." He said and I smiled. "Not a dress fan but thank you so much." I opened the box and pulled out the dress.

"Okay, you did not pick this out for me." I said, staring at the dress.

"Yes I did." He responded.

I looked at him, not buying it. "Okay I didn't. Pepper did." He rolled his eyes and I couldn't help but giggled.

"So. You got a date?" He asked. "No.."

"Why?"

"..no one asked me? Uncle Tony, I appreciate you coming by but my friend is coming over to spend the night and I don't want her to see you." I said, knowing that Michelle already knows about me but my Uncle doesn't know that she knows and who knows how he'd react.

"Fine fine! Make sure you have fun tomorrow night. Take pictures!" He said as he put on his glasses. He placed a kiss on my head before leaving.

Next Day
Homecoming Night

"Okay.. how do I look? I asked as I spun around in the dress for Michelle.

"Beautiful. I think you should wear this." She handed me the bracelet that forms into a suit on my body.

"Why would I need that? It's just homecoming." I said confused. "A superhero always needs to be prepared." She smirked.

"MJ I'm glad you're here.." I said as I placed the bracelet on my wrist.

"What are friends for? Come on, let's get going." She grabbed her bag and walked out. I quickly followed behind her.

Once we made it to the school, there were already alot of students outside making their way in.

"Blaire, I need to take a photo of you, for Mr. Stark." Alen said, holding up a camera.

Michelle and I both looked at each other before smiling, holding up peace signs with our fingers as he snapped a photo of us.

"Wonderful! Have a nice night." He said heading back into the car.

"Come on. I'm only here for the food." Michelle said, running inside and I followed behind her quickly.

"Hey Blaire!" Ned said as he walked over to Michelle and I. "Ned! Hi oh my God hey." I said, turning to get a better look of him.

"You look amazing, just thought I should say that." He said as he grooved to the music.

"Oh, thanks Ned. You look quite handsome yourself." I smiled.

"You think so?" He asked. "I know so." We both laughed together.

I turned to Michelle, who was filling her plate up with food. "Try not to puke okay?" I said and she nodded. "No promises."

I looked around, noticing Liz speaking with Ned but there wasn't any sign of Peter.

I quickly made my way over to them. "Hey Liz, cute dress!" I said with a smile. "I have to say the same for you as well." She responded.

I wasn't interested at all in the stupid dress. I just wanted to know where Peter was since she was his date.

"Peter not with you?" I asked and she shook her head. "My dad held him up." She laughed slightly. "Ouch, poor guy." Michelle said walking over to us.
