Harry was removed from the Great Hall. Alula had to find him as she knew it must be something linked to Voldemort, Harry had been holding his scar the whole time Marchbanks and Tofty walked him from the exam.
Alula looked down at her paper, she had answered all the questions to what she thought was an acceptable standard and knew that she wouldn't overly mind if she didn't pass History of Magic. After all, it was all in the past. The past catches up though.
Luckily, Hermione, before the exam, had confiscated some Nosebleed Nougat from a third-year and told Alula to look after it until the end of the exam. Fred and George would have been so proud as Alula took the mischievous sweet and began chewing it. Suddenly, blood trickled from Alula's nose.
"Oh no!" Alula whispered loudly to gain the attention of one of the examiners.
A few people looked around and then quickly back at their papers. Alula held the end of the sweet that stopped the nosebleed in her hand as Marchbanks came rushing over.
"Oh dear, dear," she flustered, making tissue appear from nowhere. "Off to the Hospital Wing, quickly now."
Alula got up and swiftly exited the Great Hall, earning a bold look from Hermione, and after checking that no one was watching, swallowed the other part of the nougat.
"Not another one!" It was Nearly Headless Nick. "Harry's just rushed himself to the Hospital Wing."
"He went to the Hospital Wing?" Alula quickly quizzed.
"That is what I just said."
"Thank you!" Alula barely said as she ran up the marble staircase.
Alula hurtled along the corridors so fast the portraits she passed muttered reproaches, up more flights of stairs, and finally burst like a hurricane through the double doors of the hospital wing, causing Madam Pomfrey to shriek in alarm beside Harry.
"You too Black?" Madam Pomfrey sighed.
It seemed as though Harry was only a few minutes ahead.
'I need to see Professor McGonagall,' gasped Harry, the breath tearing his lungs. 'Now . . . it's urgent!'
'She's not here, Potter,' said Madam Pomfrey sadly. 'She was transferred to St Mungo's this morning. Four Stunning Spells straight to the chest at her age? It's a wonder they didn't kill her.'
'She's . . . gone?' said Harry, shocked.
"What?" Alula questioned.
The bell rang just outside the Hospital Wing and she heard the usual distant rumbling of students starting to flood out into the corridors above and below them. Harry and Alula remained quite still, looking at Madam Pomfrey. Terror was rising inside them.
