Time to put things into perspective- into order.

Alula felt as though she were carrying some kind of talisman. It was inside her chest over the following two weeks, a glowing secret that supported her through Umbridge's classes and even made it possible for her to smile blandly as she looked into her horrible bulging eyes. She and the DA were resisting her under her very nose, doing the very thing she and the Ministry most feared, and whenever she was supposed to be reading Wilbert Slinkhard's book during her lessons she dwelled instead on satisfying memories of their most recent meetings, remembering how Neville had successfully disarmed Hermione, how Colin Creevey had mastered the Impediment Jinx after three meetings' hard effort, how Parvati Patil had produced such a good Reductor Curse that she had reduced the table carrying all the Sneakoscopes to dust.
Harry was finding it almost impossible to fix a regular night of the week for the DA meetings, as they had to accommodate three separate: team's Quidditch practices, which were often rearranged due to bad weather conditions; but Alula agreed that that was probably a good thing; she had a feeling that it was probably better to keep the timing of their meetings unpredictable. If anyone was watching them, it would be hard to make out a pattern, however, she was beginning to run out of excuses to miss an Alchemy session with Snape each week.
Something that did frustrate Alula was how Professor McGonagall had kept her word on writing to Remus to which her godfather had replied.
Dearest Lu,
I do not find myself surprised in receiving a letter from Professor McGonagall about your behaviour nor the fact that I was the one to receive it rather than your father, who, quite frankly, would have laughed and written to you about continuing your recklessness. I understand that letters are being read by other sources inside Hogwarts so I cannot say much, but Lu you must listen to what I say.
Tonks knows of Umbridge through the Ministry and, by the sounds of it, she is not the most delightful of characters. It does sadden me to learn that you turned to your father's lousy insults when you are smarter than that.
On a lighter note, I hope everything is okay at Hogwarts and that the Weasleys, Hermione and Harry are also well. Arthur wants everyone to celebrate Christmas together, especially in times like these, but Molly insists that you'll all be a distraction. I don't blame her.
Remember that your father and I are proud of you. (AND ME!) Yes, and Tonks, too. Your mother would be the proudest, mainly because she would predict you reading this and rolling your eyes.
