        ///Melissa POV///

I ranacross the hallways while dodging the students in my way. I was gasping for breath by the time I arrive…O’Felia acted like she was bored and started to eat her food without me.

“H-HEY!” I gasped out. Fuck…she started without me. “Why?!”

“You took too long and getting here so I started without you.” She told me as I sat down. “You’re too slow when retaking a quiz.”

“Not my fault, jeez…” I look around to spot Michael Eloise anywhere. But he wasn’t around.

My name is Melisa Dyson. I am a straight A student and never really dated a guy or never had a boyfriend, pretty embarrassing. I always argue with Mom that I should get contact lenses but no…that’s it cost too much money. Anyway, O’Felia is my best friend since the beginning of high school two years ago. I like T-shirts and jeans unlike other girls who try to look good around cute guys. O’Felia is like me, except maybe cuter and red headed. I told this every time to someone I meet and know I’ll be friends with…which is weird.

“Ohhh…looking for your dream boy?” I went bright red as she said that.

“N-No!” I cried out.

“When are you going to do it? You don’t ask Michael out…cause he won’t ask you…some other girl will get him before you.” She told me and I saw him past by. Ok then…I can do this…I can do this.

“Hey Michael!” I called out to him as I got up. He turned around to face me as I catch up to him.

“Oh hey! Hi Melisa, how you doing?” he asked me.

“Oh good…good. Listen…um, I was wondering if…if you’re open Friday night or something…we could-“ I stopped as Jessica skipped past me and put her arms around Michael arms smiling at me…taunting me.

“Oh hi! How’s your day…being single I mean.” She said.

“Hey Jessica…come on.” He said but I realized that he was with her, as her boyfriend. He then looks back at me. “What did you want to say?”

“Oh nothing…well bye.” I quickly said and slowly walk back to the table. O’Felia looked at me and said nothing, she just patted my back.

“Don’t worry…there are more fishes out there.” She said, I looked at her funny. She put her finger on her nose, pulled it up and sticked her tongue at me. I began to laugh at the way she looked.

“More FISHES! Where were you born at? The ocean?” I laugh as she acted as a pirate.

“ARRRGGG!” She said. “Give me your booty!”

“Stop it! Stop it!” I said as my side began to hurt. “I’m laughing too much!”

“Your fault…and I’m not gonna stop.” She continued by putting her fists on her chest and acting like a parrot. “Polly needs a cracker! Polly needs a cracker!”

“Ok stop! Stop please!” I held back my laughter as I moved away. But as I turn, I bumped into a boy. His tray was knocked out from his hands and his food spilled out.

“Shit!” O’Felia said as she stood up as I got down and began to pick up his tray.

“Crap, I’m so sorry!” I said as he got down also. He didn’t say a word as we silently began to clean up the mess. O’Felia handed me some napkins to clean up the milk. After that he threw the spilled food in the trash.

“I’m so sorry! I didn’t see you!” I said as he just stood there. He was…strange. He wore all black and a hood. He had on a black leather trench coat that went to his ankles. He also wore black gloves, no cut off for his fingers. The only skin I can see on him was his face, he was strange but cute.
