///Melissa POV///

            I screamed as I saw it…its jaws widened as it jumped at me. I continue screaming as it bit my arm and I felt the blood drip onto my face. It began to bark at me…I stopped screaming as I saw its eyes. Black lifeless eyes that shook me in fear to the very core. It was a Pit-bull dog…with that; I began to remember something about me and Death.

            “So…we met each other before. Probably your parents and you accidently bumped into me or something.” I asked him and he…

Flashback 11 Years Ago…

            “HIIIII!!” I scream at the top of my lungs as I ran around the dry, empty streets. I was running because I wanted to get my Mommy’s attention, so I was screaming HI everywhere. No one was around here. But for me… it was an island where I was in control of. I stopped running and shook in fear as I saw the five dogs, their yucky saliva dripping down their lips. I ran back inside the safety of my house and screamed for mommy.

            “What is it?!” Mommy yelled as she came running to the living room to see me crying. “Baby, what is it? Please tell Mommy.”

            “The dogs are back are back! Mommy, I’m scared!” I cried in tears.

            “Don’t worry, they’re tied up, they can’t hurt you.” She comforts me with a little singing. Her voice was smooth and peaceful. She stopped and smiled. I felt better and laughed as she made funny monkey noises.

            A year went by and the dogs were gone with the old man who lived there. I was happy so I took back my little island. I ran around, played by myself…I was actually really lonely. I wasn’t very social with others and in school, I stood quiet during recess. I never met my father and Mommy told me that he was a important man. I asked her if he will ever come home to see me. She told me that someday he will because he loves me and her.

            “One…two…THREE!” I shouted as I ran through the sidewalk. I was laughing until…”OW!”

            I tripped over a crack on the sidewalk and scraped my knee. I sat up and saw that I was bleeding. I just…stared at it as the blood slid down my leg. I wondered why it was red…I wanted to see it more…then I heard a growling. I froze, just staring at the ground as a shadow covered it. I slowly look up to see the five Pit-bull staring at me. The same ones from before. I couldn’t more as I stared at their eyes…cold and hollow…looking at me hungrily. I screamed.

            “HELP ME! MOMMY!” I screamed as they charged at me with their teeth open to tear me apart. I closed my eyes and expect the pain…pain of my skin being torn apart from me. But there was nothing. I heard their whining in pain. I open my eyes and saw a little boy. He was gripping a small knife that he was swinging down on one of the dogs. Stabbing it again and again. The blood spilling across the ground like water. I just stared as he killed another on. Then the next; and the next…until there was only one. It was leaping away from the boy and that’s when I saw his eyes.

            “Red…” I spoke softly as he approached the dog and grabbed it by the neck. The dog struggled from his grip and whine in pain. I heard its neck snapped and it fall dead. The boy looked at me and walked towards me. He stopped a few feet in front of me and gave me his outstretch hand to help me up.

            “Get up…” he said. I took his hand and he pulled me up. And he began to check my wounded knee. “Stupid bitch…”

            “D-Don’t say b-bad words!” I stuttered.
