///Death POV///
Waking up was an ass. I slowly sat up to see Melissa looking at me. I looked around and saw O’Felia reading a book and CJ asleep beside me. My back felt like hell due to where I slept…which was the floor that was covered in rocks. We were outside in a rundown alley. The place smelled like noodles and trash.
“What the…” I muttered as Melissa helped me up. “Where are we?”
“Don’t know…I just followed her here as we carried your bodies.” She told me.
“What?” I questioned her. What was she talking about? Did something happen? I remember Melissa yelling at me about something and the next…nothing?
“You don’t remember?” she asked and I nodded no.
“Sorry…” I turned to see…
“Z-ZEYA!” I gasped out loud as she bowed down to me. What is she doing here?
“You know here?” Melissa asked me. But I didn’t answer her. I couldn’t believe it…why is she here at this moment?
“HEY, DEATH! She asked you a question!” I snapped out of thought and looked at O’Felia.
“First, explain what happen? How did we get-“ I stopped as I looked at the sleeping CJ…Zeya being here…a sleeping CJ together with that means…
“Well…after you and me sort of fought…she showed up and-“ I stopped her.
“She showed up and placed a sleeping spell on me and CJ to deal with you…” I finished for her. “Melissa was a target that Zeya wanted to deal with to protect me.”
“What!” she cried angrily at Zeya. “You WERE trying to kill me!”
“Well…maybe…” Zeya responded sort of silently.
“MAYBE!” Melissa shouted. For some reason…after so long…I started laughing. Inside me, I felt like crying. It felt good laughing, I felt somehow…happy, I felt happy again.
“Death?” I heard O’Felia say. I try to stop laughing but a part of me didn’t want to.
“First time I heard you give a normal laugh…” Melissa smiled as I stopped.
“…laughter…” Zeya said and she looked at Melissa. I looked at her for a second and I swore I saw Zeya smile at her.
We were eating lunch when we heard footsteps behind us. I turned around to see 6-Dogs and a woman walking beside him. He looked different now than two nights ago. He used to have piercings and was shirtless. Now, he wore a t-shirt and shorts. The piercings were gone but tattoos remained.
“What…” I started.
“…the…” Melissa gasped out loud as she saw how tall he was.
“…fuck…?” O’Felia also gasped as she saw how much he changed on looks.
“Hello again, Death.” He smiled politely.
“Who is that?” Melissa whispered to me.
“That’s 6-Dogs…friend for life and enemies sometimes.” I told her.
