I was startled by what he said, in all my years of knowing him he's never done this. Let alone show me affection like this.

"H-hey are you okay?" I ask him tapping his hand so he can let go. Deep inside my heart I didn't want to stop, I wanted this to go on forever.

From what it seemed like forever he finally pulled away. "Sorry it's just never mind it's been a long day you know?" He silently says taking my hand leading me to his car. The car ride was silent and awkward. After what had happened I didn't know how to talk to him. He too was pretty quiet was he thinking about what he did.

"Hey y/n? You know I think I found the girl who was singing the other day." He starts off making a conversation with me. I look up at him, "really? who is this lucky girl" I tell him trying to lighten up the mood. He chuckles still keeping his eyes on the road, "You know Hyein?" he asks me. I think back to the new girl who was with them at school. "yeah?" "well apparently she was at the same place where I heard the voice, plus she said she has taken vocal lessons," he continues to tell me.

"And as far as I know she was the only musical person who was there that day," he says with a light smile on his face. I smile at him, "well hopefully she's not a total bitch," I sourly say thinking about how she was pushing me out of the way when I tried to talk to Taeyong. "dude not judge her when you barely know her, plus she was a bit nervous so she didn't see you," he says defending her. If Sol was here heavens knows what she will tell him.

Pretty soon we were finally at home, "see ya tomorrow and don't forget we are throwing a party, for Jaehyun's birthday," right tomorrow was valentine's day as Jaehyun's birthday. He must of saved a country in his past life, every valentine's day he would get surrounded by girls and be given presents not to mention how handsome he was.

"You are late I was getting worried," mom who was sitting on the couch watching her tv drama says looking up at me. "Sorry I was with Johnny, we were writing a song for the Battle of the Bands," I say putting my things down and sitting next to her. "You know y/n your grandma would love to see you on stage one day," she lightly says. "I know...maybe someday...i'm just not ready" I tell her as she engulfs me in a hug. "I know until then I will keep cheering you on~ now off to bed," she says lightly slapping my butt as I walked toward my room.

When I got outside to head to school, I expected Johnny to be there like he always was but he wasn't.

They weren't at school either, "hey do you know where the boys went?" I ask Sol as soon as she walks into the class, she shrugs looking around, "I don't know but all 23 of them aren't here today" she says setting her things down. It was normal for one member to not come to school but all of them in one day was suspicious. We couldn't talk about it any further since the teacher had walked in. "My class is empty...don't tell me they are performing again" He says getting angry at them. "If they were y/n wouldn't be here" a classmate says backing them up.

The teacher looks at me "where are they?" He asks. "If I knew I wouldn't be here" I say not realizing how mean I sounded when I said it. "Detention" he said before leaving the class to ask other teachers if they knew where he was.

Lunch was no different either, Sohee suggested that they might of been ditching and would come back around lunch time. We had tried texting and calling them but they weren't answering the phone. "What if something happened to them!" Sol says starting to panic. Sohee slaps her back, "let's not panic, plus boys will be boys they are probably off doing something stupid" Sohee says but I could tell she was somewhat worried.

We watch as Hyein walked by with her group of friends. She scoffed when we may eye contact and continued walking. Sol scoffs getting annoyed by her attitude, "what's her deal?" She says sticking her tongue out in her direction.

Pretty soon the end of the day was finally here, "since they aren't here for practice so you just wanna go home or get something to eat" Sohee suggests just as we hear loud voices running up to us full of cheer and excitement. Before we had the chance to react I felt my body being held up in the air, "hey!" I say making eye contact with Johnny as he held me up the in the air. My heart was beating fast, in that moment it felt as if we were the only ones left in the world. "We did it!" He says putting me down followed by the other boys giving me a kiss on the cheek. "Did what? I'm so confused and why didn't you guys come to school" Sohee starts off as Mark gives her a kiss on the cheek as well. "And stop with that it's weird" she says wiping it off. I look over at Johnny, it's the happiest I've ever seen him be. "Our leader shall announce this" Jeno says moving aside for Taeyong to speak.

"A huge record company noticed us! And he wants to sign all of us to be his new boy band!" He announces the news to us. Sohee smiles trying not to show that she was happy for them. Sol on the other hand was expressing her complete happiness by dancing around them cheering with her hands. "Y/n? Let's go" I hear a voice come from behind me. "Oh yeah sorry dad" I say saying goodbye to my friends and following him to the car. How much did he see? Was he there when Johnny picked me up in his arms?

The car ride home was pretty quiet, dad and I didn't really have much in common anymore. But at least he tried his best to still be a part of my life. "Did anything exciting happen back there" he says breaking our silence. "Oh yeah the boys got a record deal" he nods silently. "You are the one who deserves that record deal" he says in a low tone that I could barely hear. A smile creeps up my face, "they worked hard for it" I reply. He chuckles patting my head, "they would be nothing without your songs" he says trying to get me to open up and talk about things I find enjoyable.

The rest of the car ride home was pleasant as we caught up and I told him about everything that has been going on at school.

<The next day>

I walk into school to see everyone crowding over a news wall. Sol looks at me with a freaked out look. I slowly approach them as everyone turns around to give me a strange look. "I can't believe she's gonna do it" I heard whispers around me as I join Johnny and the boys. Ten immediately moves and covers the board preventing me from seeing it. "Move it's the set list for the battle in a month" I tell him trying to see what was in it and why everyone was staring at me. "We are going last! The best ones go last" Ten says, I looked at him in the eyes, "really then I wanna see when seventeen is going" I say looking over his shoulder but he was too tall for me.

After struggling and Johnny being no help I finally moved him out of the way.
