Me in the battle of the bands? Since when? I don't remember signing up for this. Sol and Sohee kneeled down with me.

But there was silence between us, none of us uttered a word. Until Sol broke our silence, "I watch you sing and perform for us" she quietly whispers in a way that was only heard from the 3 of us. "You love it" she takes my hand, I had noticed they were shaking. I grab her hands and give them a squeeze, "I know you don't sing because she left us but wouldn't she be happier to see you continue what you did for her" Sohee chimes in holding both our hands. Sol smiles at me and back at Sohee, "we're not forcing you y/n but give it a shot" Sol says embracing me in a hug. Despite how silly she was there were times that she became like a mom and gave words of encouragement. Sol who was our ray of sun always managed to make us feel better.

"I dumped him" Sohee says suddenly changing our subject. Both me and Sol look at her in shock, just last week she was saying how much she loved this guy and how mature he was because he was a college student. "But Sohee didn't you love him?" Sol asks wanting all the details on what really happened. Sohee doesn't say anything she just stays silent, "I'll tell you guys later let's focus on the battle of the bands" she changes the subject again. "Y/n needs a band I'll be a bass and sol on drum" she says getting up. "But I don't play drums" Sol trails after her. "You'll learn" she says getting her hyped up.

I was scared to go for it but they were being so kind and encouraging that I couldn't just let my friends down. "So what song should we even sing?" Before they replied, Xiaojun was at the door with his mouth wide open. Sohee got up and walked over to him, "you aren't going to hurt me right?" He says as she sits him down in front of us. "What you heard here is between us," she says giving him a menacing look. Xiaojun nods. He sits in between me and Sohee still giving me a look.

"Wait so you are going to sing right??" He says examining me and the girls. Sol who had came back from closing the door. "Yes duh but dont tell anyone about this" I tell the boy who nodded his head. He then takes my hand, "are you gonna write something new?" I sigh and glance over at my book. "Nah I'll just do a cover of Day6 since it's on short notice" he gives me a sad expression. "I mean what if you sing a WAYV song?" He says taking the book from where it was.

"Nope y/n is more of a ballad type of girl" Sohee says giving me a hug. "BOL4 might be good for you" Sol brings up a suggestion. Everyone writes down suggestions.

The house was rustling with noise from the outside. Due to the sudden record label news on Jaehyun's birthday bash was postponed for another day. Hendery who was standing outside the house came up to me. "Jeeze y/n why are you always so late!" He says pushing me into the house.

Inside there were already lots of people dancing and getting wasted. On stage you could see Kun and Jaehyun singing their hearts out. It was clear that they had a few drinks already. "And Johnny?" Hendery cocks an eyebrow looking at me. "He's with Hyein, something about a song she was singing" my heart faltered as I continued to follow him through the group of people.

Part of me was hoping that he wasn't the girl he was looking for. But if he was in love with that girl I couldn't stop him even if I wanted to. We had finally joined the rest of the boys, Sol and Sohee were already there. Sol was listening to Jaemin play the guitar while Sohee and Yuta were trying to out drink each other.

Pretty soon Johnny and Heyin had joined us. He looked pretty upset while Hyein looked terrified about something. Sol came up to me, "I heard Johnny asked her to sing a duet," she chuckles to herself. "She freaked out and said no so Johnny is pretty upset about it" she says sipping her drink.

He's probably upset about it because he truly did believe that Hyein was the girl for him. I tried my best to hide my smile when Hyein approached him again but instead of accepting her he tossed her aside and walked away towards our group. "Y/N you finally made it!" he says extending his arms for me to hug. Which I do, being in his arms made me feel safe and secure. 

If only I could stay in his hold forever.

Just as Johnny was about to go up the stage to perform his song for Jaehyun he walked up to me. Handing me a bass guitar. I took it from him unsure of what to do with it. That's when Doyoung walks over with his guitar giving me his cute smile. 

"Y/N let's sing together" Johnny says showing me the microphone. My heart began to skip, the nervousness suddenly filled my body threatening to spill out. "Y/n come on, Johnny and Doyoung will be there the entire time for you," Jisung our youngest begins to say. For some reason I didn't know but he seemed to make me feel a lot better. Everyone began to give the puppy eyes in hopes that I was going to say yes. 

Lucas suddenly pulls me aside, "I know you probably don't wanna do this," he says shifting my focus onto Hyein. "what if it meant embarrassing your love rival?" he says giving me ideas. Gosh this kid is my dark side. "before you say anything me and Haechan know you like Johnny" he says giving me a smile.  

The thought of singing just to soley embarrass Hyein was actually a good idea. "Lucas I owe you a date" he chuckles kissing my cheek. "Make Hyein mad and get Johnny" I give him a nod and make my way to the rest of the group.
