3rd Person
At around one in the afternoon, Mr. Kim together with Mr. Choi's family had finally arrived.
As the two parties made their way inside the hospital, people gave way to them. Who wouldn't as they represent one of the top ten families in Korea any disrespect would result to a grave consequence.
It was Nurse Park who welcomed them as what Jennie instructed her to do that way Rosie could still he with her in her office later on if her father would see her.
"Good Morning Mr. Kim." The nurse greeted as courteously as she could.
"It has been a long time Roseanne." To say Rosie wanted to run away that instant. The old mans cool voice greeted like a threat. Once Rosie had composed herself enough she led man to Jennie's office just like what he had instructed in the call.
Flashback
Rosie had just returned to the nurse station after the operation but upon arriving she had wished that she should have not returned. The place was a mess as patients keep piling up with different kind of ailments.
She was about to turn around wanting to rest as she was no use at the moment due to exhaustion but suddenly a figure walked passed her in a rush.
She turned and was surprised to see Lisa there assisting the newly arrive patient. 'That youngster sure has a lot of energy in her wings. Rest is not in her dictionary I guess.' Rosie thought.
Seeing the youngster do her work, Rosie found herself guilty for slacking she was about to help when suddenly her phone rang like crazy. DEVIL was the name flashed on her screen.
She gulped in nervousness. What did this old geezer want. Sliding the green button she answered the call.
"Mr. Kim." She greeted.
"Where is Jennie, Roseanne?"
"She is in her office at the moment sir."
"Then why isn't my daughter answering the god damn phone." Goosebumps began to rise in Rosie's body to say she was trembling in fear.
"I'll look for her sir." She volunteered.
"Good. And if you see her pass the message to her will you, that I will arrive with the Choi's make sure she assigns someone to welcome us in the lobby."
"Understood." With out any words of gratitude the old man hang up.
As they neared Jennie's office, Rosie can't help but feel like something bad will happen with this sudden visit.
She knocked on Jennie's door before entering. When she met Jennie's gaze she gave the doctor a signal to be wary that her father does not seem to be in a good mood.
To which the doctor subtly reply in a nod.
The doctor then approached their way and Rosie paved way for Jennie to greet her father.
"Father, to what instance brought you to the--" Jennie was no able to finish her statement when a loud slap struck her cheek.
Rosie gasped with the sudden hit that Mr. Kim did.
"How dare you perform an operation without the intended team designated to do so?!" Mr Kim asked his voice booming in firmness.
Jennie took a deep breath before she once again faced her father.
"My team was complete in performing the operation."
"Then why did Dr. Jeon called to inform me that he was sorry to be ill and that the operation would be postponed but then received a call from the Choi's that David's operation was a success?"
That kissass really had to inform the old geezer just to make Jennie look bad the nerve of that guy. Rosie thought.
"It is true that Dr. Jeon was absent. But I had to push for the operation as Mr. Choi's condition is worsening." Jennie explained as calmly as she could.
"Then why were you not assisted by a senior doctor?! Why the hell did you allow yourself to be assisted by a newbie surgeon?" Mr. Kim asked irritation evident in her features.
"Dr. Manoban was the only doctor available. The other doctor's have already their respective surgeries that were scheduled. Even though we could pull out senior surgeons it would put their patients lives into danger." Jennie explained.
Jennie's face was more than serious than she usually does. "I am a doctor Mr. Kim." Having Jennie called her father Mr. Kim shocked Rosie. Jennie never does that because she knows that if she does it would be such a problem. "I was placed in a situation where I could only choose what is best for every one. And that is saving everyone's life and not sacrificing a life of one for the other."
She then faced Mr. Choi's family. "I deeply apologize if you think that I have betrayed your trust by proceeding with the operation even if I did not ask for your permission, I will be willing to take that punishment." The doctor then bowed in the most respectable way possible that she could.
The wife of Mr. Choi could only look at the doctor as she could understand where the woman was going through. However, their family have also paid the hospital with a great amount of money to compensate for the best services that the hospital doctor's would render for her husband. But before she could say a word someone had cut her off as their confrontation was interrupted by a knock on the door.
Rosie and Jennie looked at each other as if silently asking who would dare intrude the meeting knowing that Rosie had informed everyone ahead not to go to Jennie's office not until the doctor's father and the visitors had already left.
It was Mr. Kim who opened the door to see who the intruder was. When the door was ajar Jennie glanced to see who it was and to say Jennie was beyond shocked to see that it was Lisa standing outside with a determined look in her face. What the hell is she doing here? Jennie thought.
"Good afternoon, I am sorry for intruding." The youngster said as she bowed down in respect.
