After everyone was ready for the operation both doctors stood their post, hostility evident in the surroundings.

Everyone in the room could feel the tension between the two doctors. Whatever their discussion was no one would dare want to partake on it.

Once Jennie signalled the assisting nurse to start the recording, she immediately went to introduce her team.

"Good morning! I am Dr. Jennie Kim, performing surgeon for today to be assisted by Dr. Manoban, Nurse Park and anesthesiologist Dr. Wong. We will be operating Mr. David Choi under internal surgery." She then looked at her team wanting to send a message through their eyes. "Surgery operation commence."

To say, being performing surgeon takes a lot of responsibility as the entire operation would depend on his or her leadership. Anyone who is currently observing would definitely be amazed as how Jennie is currently holding herself.

People may presume she is just the type of person who has a lot of guts when it comes to surgery. But to those who truly know her I would say that she is just the type of person who works like a grace under pressure.

But like any other surgery, mistakes are bound to happen. As Jennie was holding the scalpel, she accidentally sliced one of the veins which made the blood to burst to her face. She was supposed to be calm and collected regardless of any circumstances during the operation but it's just not Jennie's day as unconsciously her hands began to tremble.

And during surgery once to performing surgeon's hand would tremble it somehow send off a message that the patient's life might be in danger.

Lisa saw this happening as she was in front of Jennie. And as an instinct she grabbed the performing surgeon's hand squeezing it as lightly as she can just enough to get Jennie's attention. Lisa was silently praying that she could because she knows that if she speaks she would be putting Jennie's job in jeopardy.

Thankfully, Lisa's silent prayer was heard as Jennie's eyes met her. Lisa gave her senior an encouraging look silently saying that she can do this. And that was all it took for Jennie to regaim her composure and swiftly she was able to remedy the source that led for the blood to burst out.

She instructed her team well and the suppose operation that was planned to end after three and a half hours was made possible in only three hours.

The operation was a success. And everyone in the room felt relieved of the results.

Mr.Choi was immediately returned to his personal room.

The two doctors then separated without a word said to each other. That instance however did not escape from the eyes of Nurse Park.

During the surgery the head nurse saw the silent comfort that Lisa gave to Jennie. Usually assisting surgeons would never do that as they usually want the performing surgeon to fail in order for them to take over reasoning that the performing surgeon would have failed the operation if ever they did not stepped up.

But Lisa did not do that. She even successfully calmed Jennie down in order for the latter to operate a successful surgery.

And Rosie was still wondering how come they are hostile with each other despite the fact that the two surgeon seems to work together quite well.

The nurse could only shake her head at the thoughts running on her mind before she walked away going to the ER where she was stationed to do so for the rest of the day.

~~~~~
Upon entering her office, Jennie could only slam the door hard and lean on it.
Gosh I was a mess on that operation. I could have almost lost that patient if it weren't for that young doctor. Was what she thought.
And anyone who could see her would think that the Doctor had definitely lost her wits with the way that she was acting. Roaming around her office and ruffling her hair.
When she felt that she had enough, she finally took her sit at her sofa and laid down. She was beyond exhausted so to speak.
Sbe had performed the operation successfully and she was glad that she did.
Those were her last thoughts before she finally succumb to sleep that she had yearned for so long.
Unknown to Jennie, that hours later her office phone rang like crazy.
~~~~~

Jennie was woken up by the consistent banging in her office door. She rolled out of the sofa and groaned in frustration for the sudden intrusion of her daydream.

But her frustration turned into worry when she saw Rosie bent down and panting as if her best friend ran from a long marathon and had just arrived from the finish line.

"Rosie are you okay?" The nurse signalled her hsnd to give her a moment for her to catch her breath.

Then when she did the nurse was walking around the office frantically as if she was afraid of something.

"Roseanne Park!" Jennie shouted gaining the attention of her best friend. "Did something happen? That you look like you are dead nervous." Jennie was surprised when Rosie rushed in front of her grasping both her arms and was again in panic mode as she mumbled.

"Omg Jennie. Omg." Her friend mumbled the same line for about three times.

But when Jennie finally used her warning tone Rosie stopped and took a deep breath before finally stating her purpose.

"Your father is arriving in about an hour together with the Choi's."

"What?! Why didn't you inform me earlier?" And that was when Rosie had rolled her eyes.

"I did call you 'ya know." The nurse stated in a duh tone. "I have been ringing both your office and personal phone but you weren't answering. I was about to head earlier but the ER was piled up."

"But they aren't suppose to be here even though they are informed that Mr. Choi will be operated today."

The nurse could only shrug her sholders no knowing what to answer.
"Let's just hope it is good news."
