Clamping of utensils could only be heard, as the two women sat dining for lunch.

The older one could not believe how her sweet and dependable friend could turn out to be cunning.

When Rosie called Lisa for lunch she had expected that the former would join them, but Roseanne Park is one hell of a trickster when both Jennie and Lisa had boarded the cab that Rosie held, the nurse immediately shut the door and instructed the driver where the destination is. What shocked them more was that Rosie already paid for the fare instructing the driver to drop them to the said destination and to make sure not to drop them elsewhere.

"Roseanne where do you think you are going?" Jennie asked her tone showed that she was already irritated.

But the cunning nurse merely smiled at her "I had lunch already, its time you guys take yours and while doing make sure to come back here without that awkward vibe surrounding tbe two of you its sickening." Before Jennie could further argue Rosie had already tapped on the cab signalling the driver to drive away. "Ciao" was the last word they heard from the nurse when their cab drove and all Jennie could do was slump on her seat while Lisa remained silent like she was since the beginning.

Remembering what had happened, Jennie could only sigh and began eating her food.

Her sigh however did no escape Lisa's hearing to which the younger immediately react to.

"You know, I could just leave, if eating lunch with me is that tiring for you." Upon hearing that Jennie face expression was shocked beyond recourse. "I am not sighing because of your company. I sighed because what Rosie did earlier. And somehow she did have a point. We really should talk." Jennie placed her utensils back down and looked at Lisa. "Why are you avoiding me Lis?" Jennie asked softly wondering what had happened.

Hearing that question, Lisa could only scoff at Jennie's words. "Really Jen you are asking me that?"

"Yes because I do not know what triggered you to stay away from."

"You truly are oblivious of how people feel." Lisa said her voice cold and immediately turned her attention back to her food not wanting to further deal with Jennie's obliviousness.

But before she could pick up her utensils Jennie interlocked their hands.

"Lisa," Jennie called in a mellow tone which somehow made Lisa guilty of her sudden outburst to the older. Thus, she looked at Jennie and that was when the oldrr continued "I cannot always notice if I have done something bad to you, so if ever I did I am sorry." The older sighed and continued. "It was not my intention to hurt you." And upon hearing those words Lisa had soften up. Maybe there are really oblivious people in this world that you really need to spell out to them certain things for them to understand.

Sighing the younger finally decided to explain why she was being cold, afterall it was enough reason as a sulking Jennie is a cute sight to see. "You hurt me." Lisa started which made Jennie look at her. Lisa continued looking down on their interlocked hands. "You hurt me because you denied something special that was going on between us. It made me realize that maybe it was only on my part to feel such and it was only purely platonic in yours."

Hearing those words Jennie tightened her hold to Lisa's hand, "I felt rejected all of a sudden. It is because I like you Jen." Lisa said as she looked up with a sad smile on her face. It was her confession to Jennie though she did not want to do it in a not so romantic way, but somehow she felt light as she was able to say what she truly feel for the girl she likes.

But what confused her was instead of a instant rejection that she had expected from the older one, Jennie sat flushed and smiling on her seat.

When Jennir saw that Lisa was flashing her a confuse look, she sat up straight and explained. "I like you too, Lis." Hearing those words felt like a dream for Lisa. "I said what I said because we are not yet on that phase I just want people to assume that we are together even though we are. But I am sure that what I am feeling for you is not something platonic." And Lisa could only grin goofily at the older woman and Jennie could only playfully roll her eyes upon seeing that the playful Lisa was back.

But when Lisa looked at Jennie seriously, she finally declared her intention "Let's go out." Lisa was so straight forward. She was not even asking a question but stating it. "Omo. Couldn't you be a little romantic in asking?" Jennie jested as she was instantly put on the spot.

But Lisa remained serious. "Let's go out Jennie."

"Lisa..."

"I do not want us to run in any more circles. We both like each other. And I am sure that my intentions for you are sincere. I want us to be together Jen. So let's go out." Jennie could only smile at how simple minded Lisa is, this woman in front of her does not really go around the bush and attacks at an instant.

What mkre would be stopping her from going out with the woman who had made her smile, who care for her and was sincere ever since.

"Ok. Let's go out." She responded and Lisa immediately smile and even leaped out of her seat which earned them looks from the people around. To which the younger bowed her head and apologized. Jennie could only hit her hand but Lisa held it firmly gazing lovingly at the woman in front of her.

I started to seek you out as a protector to keep my promise to someone I deeply look up to. But now I'll protect you as a lover everyone deserves to have. Lisa thought.
