baekhyun's eyes opened at the small shake on his shoulder, it took a minute to adjust to the light. he took in the grey sky, it was a contrast to the clear one from yesterday at least the sun wouldn't be so harsh today.

the humidity was prominent in the air, maybe it would rain today. some water was better than none.

he sat up with a deep sigh, surprised at his jacket which fell to his lap. taeyeon must've gave it back to him when he fell asleep. he put it back on with a yawn, he was still tired. it wasn't a decent night rest and his body was achy due to the uncomfortable position.

"you have sticks in your hair." taeyeon laughed lightly, picking them out from the back of baekhyun's hair.

"oh, i didn't know." baekhyun replied, eventually dusting his hair with his hand. he was pretty sure taeyeon got them all but it was just to be sure.

"you should eat." she moved away.

there sat the pile of berries. baekhyun sighed at the sight of them. his stomach was definitely empty now and berries just didn't seem satisfying. he was missing the hearty breakfasts from the capitol.

he grabbed a couple anyway, "i miss the scrambled eggs." baekhyun sighed as he popped some berries in his mouth.

taeyeon groaned at the thought, "the orange juice." she could do with a cold glass of anything, just anything to get rid of the dryness that was appearing in her mouth.

baekhyun sighed, it just made him more hungry thinking about all the capitol delicacies, "let's just not talk about it." it felt torturous to even mention food.

they'd agreed upon the idea of moving, they had to find some form of water. baekhyun was growing a little worried. he hoped they'd find some soon.

they'd both finished the small bundle of berries. it wasn't very filling but it was something, baekhyun made note to collect some as they went.

the arena was just the same as they walked through, just the same golden vegetation and the same warmth hitting them.

he flinched at the sudden droplet hitting his face, he looked up at the grey sky. it must be starting to rain now.

it seemed hopeful for now but he didn't have any form of container to collect some rainwater. his face screwed up at the next droplet that met his face, it hurt.

it was an odd sensation, he'd never think a rain droplet would bring him pain. seconds past and the both of them couldn't handle it anymore, the rain had became harder and much more painful.

"we have to find shelter." taeyeon urged and they both ran off into a sprint.

baekhyun's head was frantically whipping around with each step he took, there was no shelter. there was barely anything to help them. it was just sparse trees and bushes. "there's nowhere!" baekhyun desperate voice shouted.

"just keep going!" tayeon yelled back, trying her best to shield her face from the painful rain and keep up with the male. her hood wasn't helping.

baekhyun hopped over a fallen log. it was becoming more unbearable, he couldn't help but let out painful hisses every now and then.

he stopped his sprint at the yell from taeyeon, she had tripped and by the way she was struggling to get up it looked like she'd injured herself.

baekhyun ran back to her, tugging her arm to help her up, they started running again but taeyeon was visibly much slower.

baekhyun stopped, "c'mon, go on my back." he urged. he didn't know what she'd hurt but there was no time for explanations, they were both in agony.

it was much harder to run, he'd been reduced to a fast walk now. he could barely make out where he was going, the rain was hurting his face too much, he was pretty sure it'd had made its way through his jacket.
