Author's Point of View

Keigo awaited Enji's arrival in a restaurant, hearing that Enji wanted to tell him something important. A stick of Takoyaki in his hands as he peered through the huge windows. His attention was snatched from the beautiful scenery to the sound of the door opening to the private room.

There the waiter and Enji stood in the doorway. Keigo sits himself up and finishes his stick. "So what did you want to tell me, Endeavor-San?" Enji enters leaving the waiter who turns around and closes the door for privacy. Enji makes his way to the seat across from Keigo. "It's about YN." Keigo stiffens at the name.

His eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What happened? She seems fine to me, nothing strange besides her not responding to my recent texts. Don't tell me she's in danger." Enji places his hands down on the table before him. His fingers intertwine with another and he looks down. His eyes revealing a mixture of pain and disappointment.

Keigo's throat was dry as he watched Enji with worried eyes. Enji finally lifts his head to look up at Keigo. "YN and I had a fight a few weeks after her accident. Ever since then she stopped talking to me and began to ignore me. But I don't really blame her." Keigo's eyebrows knit together in a mixture of confusion and a bit of disappointment. If Keigo had found out you were in danger, He wanted to be the one to save you. The person you praise as your savior. But this is also ok, You weren't in harm.

But what did Enji do for you to give him the cold shoulder? Keigo knew it had to be something really bad for you to still not forgive him even after Enji visited you in the hospital. "What did you do to make her so angry?" Keigo flat-out asked and watched Enji tense up. He clears his throat while he sits against the chair. "She didn't like the way I treated my family." He mumbles. Keigo's eyes were laced with confusion, leaning his head a bit forward for Enji to continue.

And that's when Enji explains what he did to his kids. How he raised them and how he mistreated his wife. Every sentence that spits out of Enji's mouth made Keigo's heartbreak. "I can completely understand why she avoiding you. H-how? Why would you do that? They are your own flesh and blood. Your family."

Enji looks down into the ground, his eyebrows furrowed. "I-I know what I did was wrong. And I regret everything I did now. I know, I truly know that it won't change anything but I-" Before Enji could utter another word, A Nomu crashing through the window.
