Alyssa held back a groan as Simon stood up and walked towards the front of the room, phone in hand. He began reading off of a news article.

"'Once Middleton was made aware of the circumstances, the office of the President immediately began a review. As a result, Professor Keating's duties have been resigned. A new instructor has been assigned to the Legal Clinic effective immediately." He looked at her table smugly.

"Ding dong the bitch is dead."

"Can they do this?" Wes muttered to them.

Laurel whispered back, "Of course. She pushed too far."

"Or they couldn't handle having a strong woman in power." Michaela hissed.

"Power only works if you know how to not abuse it." Connor refuted. Alyssa herself wasn't sure where she stood. She understood why they would reprimand Annalise, but she didn't want that to happen.

Asher leaned in, mumbling, "Okay, we need to storm the President's office, do an 'oh captain, my captain'."

      "Free of what?" Wes questioned.

Laurel looked at him like it was obvious. "Her."

"Okay, maybe that's true, but this is still bad for us." Alyssa pointed out.

"She'll figure something out." Michaela nodded. "She always does."

For all of their sakes, she hoped it was true.

She returned to her studying, talking to the others as well, which remained peaceful for a long while before Simon suddenly exclaimed,

      "Where is it?"

He stormed up to their table where they all gave him confused looks, the only difference being hers was feigned. She knew exactly what he meant.

Alyssa asked, "What are you talking about?"

"One of you took my laptop. Give it back."

Connor cooed, "Oo, this is good."

      "This isn't funny." Simon snapped.

"Unwad your panties, bro." Asher muttered, to which the heated boy responded,

"I went to the bathroom. It was right there," he pointed to his table, "and when I came back, it was gone. I will call security if I have to."

Alyssa and Michaela collectively scoffed. The latter hissed,

      "I dare you."

"Okay, then prove you don't have it then!" He yelled before lunging at Laurel's bag. The girl yelped while the others gaped at him. Michaela shot out of her seat.

"It is illegal to do an unlawful search and seizure of someone's belongings."

He scowled. "This isn't funny. That computer was expensive and I don't have money to blow like the rest of your spoiled asses."

      "Spoiled?" Michaela repeated angrily.

"Oh, you think we don't know that you're just here playing at law school until you can swap a rich daddy for a rich husband?" He sassed at her.

Michaela slammed her palms on the table. "Go anywhere near my bag or anyone else's in this room and your laptop won't be all you're missing," as she spoke, a southern drawl crept into her tone, "you spineless, tiny-balled, whiny excuse of a man!"
