Alyssa dashed through the halls of the empty clinic, soon reaching the office where the law students worked. She reached the separate desk Annalise had offered her for hacking purposes, plugging Annalise's phone into the computer. She heard footsteps outside and ducked down, watching as the security guard passed by, too engrossed on her phone to notice anything. As soon as she was clear, she hacked into Keating's phone.
But her focus wasn't just on that. It was on everyone who she hadn't heard from in a while. Where were they? Were they safe?
What if there was a body in Annalise's house?
What if somebody she loved died?

Six Weeks Earlier
Alyssa gasped in excitement as she saw her favorite blonde enter the lecture room. She rushed out of her seat and hurried towards the opposite end of the room. Connor looked at her questionably, which went away when he noticed the blonde, too. He said something to her, which she didn't quite catch. But she reached the two in time to hear,
"I don't know why I'm here."
"But I'm glad you are!" Alyssa exclaimed, bringing Karmen in for a hug. "I haven't seen you in a week."
"I know, I know. I just needed some time."
She had no idea what was going on with her friend. All she knew was that for some reason, Karmen hated Annalise. It got so bad to the point where she skipped out on class for the last week. It concerned her to no end. Had something terrible happened that she didn't know about? She wasn't mad at Karmen; that would be hypocritical. She still felt guilty with each passing day that went without her telling Connor what she'd done. She would do it eventually, just not yet.
"I'm glad you're here. You missed out on Connor being first chair."
"Oh, really? Did you fail miserably?" Karmen smirked at Connor, who scowled.
"No. We won, actually."
Karmen slid into her seat. "Oh. Congrats."
"Take a seat." Annalise's voice rang out, and Alyssa walked back to her spot, but not before sharing a worried glance with Connor. Ever since Frank left, Karmen hadn't been herself. If she ever saw that bastard again, she hoped she had the courage to land a punch or two right at his smug face.
Her thoughts dissolved as the television flickered to life. The frozen image of surveillance footage popped up, stuck on a man holding a woman, who seemed to be unconscious.
"Hey, what's that?" Whoever recorded the video asked from behind the screen as the man dragged the woman, who Alyssa realized was dead.
"Is she dead? She looks dead!"
The TV paused.
"Meet our next client, Toby Solomon, also known as..." Annalise trailed off, and all the students shot their hands in the air. "Mr. Millstone?"
"The 'Call girl creeper'. He was doing liquid '6' with an escort when she passed out, so he dumped her body outside the apartment. She died of respiratory failure two days later." Asher answered from behind her.
"'She' being Virginia Michaelson." Annalise added on, clicking her remote. The screen changed to a normal picture of the victim. "Her overdose is caught on a neighbor's live video feed. Ms. Gunderson."
Alyssa assumed a student had raised her hand, as she glanced backwards to find a woman standing.
"Solomon is a heartless real-estate developer. In what world does he need a pro bono clinic?" She asked.
