"Can you hurry up?"
Her hand froze midair, the pen tucked between her fingers nearly slipping out of her grasp. She raised her head from the papers on the table in front of her, lifting her brows in a daring manner. Frank noticed her look and raised his hands.
"Sorry. I'm nervous."
Karmen rolled her eyes, returning to grading his LSAT practice test.
"You have nothing to worry about. You're gonna do great on the practice and the real thing." She told him genuinely. More than happy to partake in mundane events over murder, she had been helping him study ever since he declared he was taking the LSAT.
For months, life had been calm. She was living peacefully with Frank, going to her classes and improving her grades, and strengthening her relationships with the murder group—Laurel being the exception. She'd even tried to get along with Bonnie after Frank had asked her to.
"Okay," she said once she was finished. Frank took a swig of beer before giving her his full attention.
"You did really well! You got a 140."
He stared at her, his lips tugging into a frown.
"That sucks. I'm a frickin' moron, it's this analytical reasoning. 'If this, then that', who the hell even cares?"
She shot out of her seat and walked right up to him, placing both of her hands on his face.
"Hey, stop that. You're not a moron. You are an intelligent man who is going to ace the LSAT and eventually become an amazing lawyer."
He sighed, avoiding eye contact with her.
"Frank," she cooed softly, tilting his head to align with her stare. When he locked eyes with her, she said,
"You've got this, okay? There's still a few days if you want to go over the analytical reasoning some more."
"Yeah, okay." He muttered, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her into a tight embrace.
"Were you this calm when you took the LSAT?" He questioned her, his words muffled from her hair. She let out an airy laugh.
"Oh, not at all. I was freaking out. I was also all alone. I didn't have an amazing girlfriend to support me throughout the whole thing. So, you're welcome."
He chuckled, pulling away from her only to cup her cheeks and mutter,
"Thank you."
She pressed a kiss to his lips in response, which he wasted no time in deepening. The two were interrupted when Karmen's phone buzzed from the table. She stepped away from Frank, ignoring his protests as she grabbed her phone. Her features twisted in distaste when she read the contact name.
"Is it Annalise or Laurel?" Frank inquired knowingly.
"Annalise."
She hesitantly opened the text, which had been sent to her and her law student friends.
I booked a table at Haywood at 8 tomorrow night. I need you all there. Please come.
"Oh, no."
Frank stalked over to her, peeking at her phone from over her shoulder.
"Did you and the idiots do something?"
