"Wow, look at this" we heard Hobi call out as we explored the rest of the building with the orb safely hidden underneath it. Tae and I were next in to the room Hobi was in.It was a large what seemed library. We saw the excitement on Joonie's face as he went to start scanning the rows upon rows of books in a white bookcase that covered the whole back of the room.
"Joonie, we need to see if I can lock the gate, to stop anyone else coming in" I breathed out, I was always aware of the fact that anytime, somebody else could wonder into Gaia.
He nodded, agreeing with me.
And about ten minutes later of him, JK and Jimin scanning the books, Joonie cleared his throat, turning to face us all who had settle around the chairs in the library.
"This is book about the gods, and their history, I think. Ate, Goddess of mischief and ruin, did not get on with her Father, Zeus" Joonie said, looking over to me.
"Well Zeus's descendant doesn't like her descendant much either" I breathed out, making a few of the boys chuckle.
Tae took a deep breath next to me. I pushed into him quickly, checking out his mental state and to see how he was doing, and he was very calm, the most I had ever felt.
He pushed back at me, sensing me around his soul, and I smiled as he glanced at me quickly, giving me a quick wink.
"I'm fine, Erin. Stop worrying" he said, taking my hand in his and resting them on his lap.
I nodded.
"Ate caused nothing but fights, murders, and lies. Zeus cast Ate aside, forbidding her to ever return to Mount Olympus. And ever since Ate has been wondering the mortal realm, with the humans" Joonie breathed out, looking down at the book.
"That's their ability then. They could control souls, which we knew anyway. But they clearly didn't do it for the right reasons" I muttered out.
Jin nodded at me, agreeing.
"Ah, look" JK said quickly, making us all look at the small book in his hand, that the cover was a painting of the life source below our feet. He passed it to Joonie, he flicked through it, and looked up and us all, smiling.
"The life source, is a collection of the purest parts of the Pantheons eternal souls. Zeus created it, for Gaia. A safe haven for his descendants. The Key, is the only one who can control the life source, and it will bend to their will in any form they need. If any one of the Pantheons descendants get severely harmed during their time in Gaia, the life source will absorb their soul, keeping it safe until the Key pulls it away," we all glanced at Tae, who gave me a quick smile, before we turned back to Joonie, "the gods souls will always be inside of it, always aware and watching, but cannot ever leave the life source, or take a physical form. The Key may be able to bond with it, and learn about what it can do, but it is not essential, due to the dormant nature of the life source. It is here to protect Gaia, and their descendants. But in turn, the descendants must protect Gaia with their lives"
We all were quiet for a handful of seconds, taking in what Joonie said.
Jimin quickly gave Joonie another book, before going back to the section he was at.
"Oh, this is about the gate" Joonie said, turning, the first few pages.
"How do I close it?" I asked quickly.
Joonie skimmed through it, and cleared his throat, "The Gods of Chaos are the only ones that can unlock the gate, first and foremost. But once it has been opened, the descendants of any God and Goddess across the human realm, will be drawn here, seeking the comforting feelings it gives out, " I burrowed my eyebrows, that made me slightly uneasy, "but the Key, can connect with the gate, and only let through the descendants that they seem worthy of being in Gaia. The city of Gaia is meant to be a happy, and soulful place with laughter and love, filled with the descendants of every God and Goddess. But the Pantheon will ultimately have control over every aspect, because they are the protectors"
