The Guardian [Naruto Fan-fic]

An Explaination

Miyako's POV

    We look at Takuna, wiating for him to explain to us, but got interupted when one of the mist ninjas opened their mouth, "How did you know about our ambush?"

     "It wan't that hard to find you guys." I say turning around.

    Kakashi explains the rest."It hasn't rained for the past few days and it's sunny, there should be no puddle here."

    I turn aound facing them, pointing my nose, grinning, "Most of all, I can smell you easily from miles away and inform Kakashi."

    "Then why did you leave it to the genin?" Tazuna looks all confused and scared of whats going on right now.

     "We needed to know whos was their target, and what were they after."

     "Huh? Where are you getting at?!" Tazuna is hiding something from us.

     "I wanted to know if they were attacking us ninja attacking ninja, or they were after you the master bridge builder. When you put in your requset, you asked for standard protection from robbers and highway men. You didn't say there where ninja looking for you, hunting you down. If we knew this would be a B-rank mission or higher, our task was simply to get you to your destination and protect you while you finish your bridge. If we knew we were fielding attacks from enemy ninja, we would have staffed it and charge it of a cost of a B-rank mission. Apparently you have your reasons, but lying to us is not acceptable. We are on the scope of this mission."

     "We are genin and this is to dangerous for us we should go back." Sakura explains to Kakashi. "And take Naruto back to treat his wound more."

     We look at Naruto, "No way I'm going back to the village!!! Miyako treated my wound, so it's going to be okay!! Believe it!!" He then takes one of his kunai knife he stabbed himself earlier with, "Bridge builder, I will complete this mission and protect you with this kunai knife."

     I shrug, "Yeah, his hand doesn't have any more poison, so he should be fine. Can we finish this missiona nd get it over with Kakashi?"

     "Alright lets go." We then walk to the Village Hidden in the Mist to complete our mission.

   It was nighttime so we decided to camp and rest. Kakashi finished his watch and now I'm on mine. I sat outside the tents, feeding the fire sticks to keep me warm. I stare at the fire that felt forever, but I heard one of the tents open. I turn around and see Tazuna coming out, "What are you doing? Go back to the tent and rest, your going to need it for the mission." I feed the fire more sticks.

    Tazuna sits next to me on another log, "Hey Miyako, can I ask you something?"

    I turn to face him, "What is it?"

    "Why aren't there many people with ears and tails like yours? Lord Third said your clan has them, but I didn't see anyone with them." He pauses, "You don't have to answer the question if it's personal."

     I look at him, then face the fire again, "No, it's fine. I guess Grandpa wants me to tell someone now since its been a while." I take a deep breath, "The clan I'm from is the Yukimura clan, our clan is known for our power like the Uchiha and Senju. But we are mostly known for our ears and tails and our wolf-like features and taking care of a important beast. The Yukimura had an enemy and they are the Fujimura clan, the Fujimura want to take the beast from the Yukimura and destoy villages. My father was head of the clan and was fully aware what was going to happen. So he prepared us to fight them no matter what happens." I pause and start to shake and saw strands of my hair turning white, "But we didn't know what day they were going to come or what time they would come, we were clueless. We send someone to check on them and grab information on them, but she died during the mission. Months passed and they didn't attack us, so we let our guard down and forgot about everything, that's when everything happens." Tears were forming in my eyes and I let them fall, "It was 7 years ago, they came and killed my family, looking for the beast trying to take it. The only ones to survive were my sister, my brothers and me."

    "So the Fujimura don't have the beast?" Tazuna says quietly looking at me with sad eyes.

    I shake my head, "No, they don't have the beast. We have it sealed in someone." I stand up and grab more sticks.

    "Who did they seal it in? Is it one of your siblings?"

    I look at Tazuna, "No, my siblings don't have strong chakra to keep it in them. The beast is sealed in me."

    He looks at me with shock eyes, trembling with fear, "Can't the beast get out and control your body?"

     I shake my head again, "We became friends with the beast for a long time, so she won't harm us." I sit back down and look at the fire, "Do you want to guess what the beast is?"

     Tazuna thinks for a minute and shakes his head, "No, I'm no good at guessing."

     I look at the stars and smile, "It's the wolf guardian, I'm the vessel ." I look at the tents and see someone looking through the opening, 'Kakashi.' "I guess you should go back and rest Tazuna."

    Tazuna gets up and starts to walk towards me, then hugs me, "I'm sorry for asking you that question. You should get some rest as well."

     I shake my head, "It's fine I needed to tell someone else, I don't need to rest I can stay up for 1 week so there is no need to worry." 

     He starts to head back, "Goodnight Miyako."

     "Goodnight." I then feed the fire again.
