Meeting A New Enemy

Miyako's POV

     We were all silent as we heard the man rowing the boat. Sakura looks around, "This fog's so thick you can't see anything."

     "Yeah, even I can't see the village."  I squint my eyes, trying to look over the fog.

     "The bridge isn't far now, our destination is up ahead.The land of waves" The man answers looking ahead.

    As we got closer, we see an unfinished bridge, with materials on it. "WOW!! It's huge!!!" Naruto's eyes look at the bridge with amazement.

      The man scolds Naruto, "I told you to be quiet!No noise! Why do you think we're traveling like this! Cutting off the engine and rowing, moving through the dense fog so they don't see us."

     I look at Naruto covering his mouth from talking. "Mr. Tazuna. Before we reach the peer, I want to ask you something."Tazuna stays silent, "The men who are after you, I need to know why. If you don't tell us, I'm afraid I will end the mission when we drop you ashore."

     We all look at Tazuna, waiting for him to talk. He then looks up, "I guess I have no choice, but to tell you, now I want to tell you the truth. Like you said, this is beyond the scope of the original mission. The one who seeks my life is a very short man, who casts a very long and deadly shadow. "

     "A deadly shadow?" Kakashi looks at him, "Who is it?"

     "You know him, at least you should have heard his name before." He starts to sweat ,"He's one of the wealthiest men in the world. The shipping magnet, Gato."

     Kakashi's head tilts to the side," Huh? Gato Transport? He is a bussiness leader, everyone knows him!"

     Naruto gets excited, "Who?Who? What?What?"

     "Gato, He is a very powerful taikun from a famous company thats true, but below the surface with the same ruthless methods he uses to take over bussiness from some nations. He sells drugs and contraband using gangs and ninja. It was one year ago when Gato first set his eyes on the Land of Waves. He used his vast wealth to take total control of transport and shipping. Anyone who tried to stand in his way would simply dissapear.in a island nation, a man who controls the sea, controls everything. Finanse, government, our very lives, but there's one thing he fears, the bridge. When it is complete, it will join us to the land and that will break his control." He looks at the unfinished bridge, "I am the bridge builder."

   "So thats it, since you are in charge of the bridge your standing in the gangster's way." Sakura puts her hand under her head.

     Sasuke then speaks,"So those ninjas we fought over there in the forest------"

     "Work for Gato." I finish Sasuke's sentence.

     "If you knew he was dangerous, knew he would send ninjas to eliminate you, why did you hide that from us?" Kakashi looks at Tazuna.

     "Because the Land of Waves is a small nation. Even our nobles have little money. The common people who are building the bridge can't pay for a A-rank or B-rank mission, it's to expenssive. If you end the mission when you drop me ashore, there will be no bridge. They'll assassinate me before I reach home. " Something in me tells me he wants to live to see someone," But don't feel bad about that, of course my sweet little grandson will be upset, he will cry, 'Grandad!! I want my Grandad!!'"

     My face turns sour, as well as Naruto's and Sakura's faces, "He sounds pretty much of a crybaby." They nod in agreement.

     "And my daughter will comdend the Leaf village denoucing and blaming you for abandoning her father, living her life in sorrow." I look at him, "Ah well, it's not your fault.Forget it."
