btw it's christmas eve for me in scotland rn and this chapter is on christmas eve 😎 totally planned this

We arrived at the hotel that the wedding was taking place in after about half an hour. Tom opened the taxi door and got out, holding his hand out for me to take. I placed my hand in his and stepped out of the car as gracefully as I could in a floor-length dress and heels. We intertwined our fingers and made our way up the stairs and into the hotel.

It was magical and extremely posh. The floors were made of thick marble and every time one of us took a step, the sound of our heels echoed throughout the halls. The walls had lavish gold wallpaper and chandeliers hung gloriously from the ceiling, reflecting the light onto the walls in patterns and rainbows.

We finally spotted Dom and the boys and Nikki caught up to us as well.

"This is awfully fancy isn't it?" Dom commented.

"I know. I didn't think they were this rich." Harry laughed.

A woman in a suit holding a clipboard with an earpiece in frantically came up to us, "Are you here for the Holland wedding?" She asked.

"Yes we are." Nikki smiled.

"Follow me." She instructed and turned on her heel.

We all had to skip and jog to catch up with her walking speed as she lead us through the hotel to a beautiful back room that looked like an extremely fancy conservatory.

"Take your seats on your side. Left is for the bride, right is for the groom." She commanded and left us.

"Well...we're the left." Tom said.

We all made our way into the room. It was gorgeous. The room was made of glass, the winter sun shining brightly into the room and lighting up every single crystal displayed. The pews were white and had a display of flowers at the edge of each. The carpet that ran down the aisle was peach and the flowers matched the light pink colour, too. Everything was so beautiful.

Dom went in first followed by Nikki, Sam and Harry. Tom let me slip in after and he sat at the edge of the row.

We spoke to a few family members and obviously many talked to Tom for obvious reasons which meant I had to speak more, too. If I had a pound for every time Tom introduced me I'd be rich. But then, the beginning of Christina Perri's 'A Thousand Years' began to play and we all turned to face the front, anticipating the bride and groom.

I watched intently with teary eyes as people I didn't even know walked down the aisle. The groom, the bridal party, the grooms party, the flower girls who threw petals sparingly on the carpet and the page boys who ran down the aisle faster than they should have. And then, we were all instructed to stand to watch the bride walk down the aisle.
She was beautiful. You could tell she was a Holland. And despite the cliche song, my heart was bursting in my chest from how romantic it all was.

The ceremony was stunning and emotional, and soon enough we were all in another huge room having champagne and chatting, waiting for the new couple to return.

"So, how did you two meet?" One of Tom's family friends asked.

"Well, Cole was actually my assistant in Berlin and Barcelona." Tom smiled, squeezing my waist a little.

"Oh how romantic!" She marvelled.

"Yeah." I laughed lightly.

"Well you are absolutely gorgeous, love. I hope to see the day when you two get married." She smiled weakly.
