*** A/N: Sorry this chapter is really short, I've sort of dug myself into this trench of writer's block with this fic. Hopefully I'll get out of it soon, and this fic will finally be somewhat good again. ***
I woke up cuddling with Phil on the couch. I quickly debated getting breakfast, but decided to just stay on the couch until Phil got up. I settled myself into Phil’s form and shut my eyes. I quickly opened them again, as I had seen something odd. Phil had pushed the sleeves of his pyjama top up in his sleep, and nine red lines were scattered across his left arm. I shook his shoulder to awaken him.
“Dan why did you wake me up? What time is-” he stopped suddenly, noticing me looking at his arm. He tried to pull his sleeve down over it, but I put my hand at the top of his forearm to stop him. “It’s not-”
“Yes it is,” I said, cutting him off. “Why?” I asked, looking directly into his green eyes.
“Because, um, because of, you know, Jenna and I breaking up,” he said, unconvincingly.
“You’re lying. What’s wrong?”
“I just... I didn’t want you going through it by yourself. I don’t know,” he said, and started crying into my chest. I hugged his head awkwardly, comforting him.
“No no no Phil. Don’t do this because of me, please. I’m sorry if this has been too much for you, I promise I’m trying to stop,” I said, and I started to cry along with him. “I love you so much, Phil. Don’t forget that, please.”
“I love you too, Dan. I’m so sorry,” he said between sobs. I hadn’t seen him so... fragile before now.
“We’ll get through this, I promise,” I told him. “We’ll get through it together.”
