I rushed out of the bathroom and into the lounge, where Phil was sitting, watching Buffy.
"Hey, why are you home so early? You were barely gone." I said to him, and sat down on the other couch.
"I felt sort of ill. Plus I felt bad about leaving you here alone." he said with a small smile.
"Thanks," I said. That was weird. He never felt bad about leaving me here for Jenna before.
We sat watching Buffy for another hour or two, when Phil turned the tv off and looked at me.
"What is it?" I asked him, hugging the Totoro pillow and turning towards him.
"Why is there a razor blade taped up under the sink?" he asked. I froze. How could I cover this up? I couldn't think of a reason as to why there would be one.
"Um," was all I got out before Phil rushed to sit next to me. He took the Totoro pillow and reached for my arm. I tried to move it away, but he was too fast. He grabbed my pale wrist and yanked my jacket sleeve up, revealing the entirety of my fair-skinned forearm. His eyes widened at the violent red and white lines scattered across my arm. 50, maybe 60, gashes. Some parallel, some crossing. But the one thing I was worried about him seeing was the bright red "Phil, I love you" I had just created just a bit farther up my arm. As long as he didn't see that, I was fine.
"What is this?" Phil asked, horrified.
A/N: Ugh this chapter (and the two preceding it) suck. Hopefully it will pick up in the next few?
