What did I just read?  That text could be from anyone, don't freak out, Cindy.  One thing is certain, it's not from Mia, it's too nice of a text.

"What's wrong?" Lea asks nonchalantly, not even looking up from her homework.

"I just got a really weird, wait, you did this didn't you?" I realized.

"What are you talking about?" Lea questioned.  I could tell from her face that she knew exactly what I was talking about, but I played dumb.

"This," I placed my phone right on top of her book, forcing her to read the messages.

"What? This is insane! Who could these be from?" Lea responded after reading the texts.  She always had been a terrible liar.

"Cut the act Lea. I'm your best friend, I know you can't lie." There was silence after that, like she was deciding weather or not to confess. Luckily she gave in.

"Fine, I know who the texts are from, but don't get mad at me! He needed to know!"

"He!? Is this-" The words just stopped.  It couldn't be Chris, could it?

"Chris? Yeah," Lea confirmed.

"Oh no, no, no. This cannot be Chris," I was kind of freaking out in my seat.

"Yeah, well it is. I met him first period and told him to text your number, and that it would anwser all his questions."

"So, you basically told him it was me.  That I'm the girl. I was just going to let this blow over, but you told him!" I couldn't process any of this.

"I'm sorry Cindy, I just wanted to make you happy, girl!" And just like that Lea was back to her perky self. But I was far from happy, what am I suposed to do with this information? I needed time to think. I wans't about to do anything I would regret.
