Havilland High. It's not exactly the easiest walk in the world, but I guess you get used to it walking it every day for the past few years. I never understood why I have to walk it if the triplets get driven every day. Whatever somethings are just accepted.

"CINDY!" a very familiar voice yells from behind me.

"Hi-" I stared to say but got cut off as she attacked me from behind. It was Lea, my best friend since kindergarten, with her beginning of the year bear hug.

"Girl, I missed you!" Lea says as she jumps up from the hug. "Happy birthday!!"

"We saw each other last week." I stated brushing the gravel off of my pants. "How are you this full of energy at seven in the morning?"

"How are you not?!?" Lea questioned enthusiastically. "It's the first day of school and we're juniors now! Girl come on perk up!"

"I guess it's better than being stuck inside with Linda and the triplets for three months."

"Whatever gets you through the day."

After a mile, we finally make it to school. As soon as we step through the doors, the bell rings.

"Oh crap! I can't be late for English." I mutter to myself.

"What's the big deal? It's only the first day," Lea states.

"Yeah, for any other class that wouldn't be a problem. But guess who I have for English."

Lea freezes in the hallway. "NO." She stares at me in disbelief. I nod my head in reply.

'We'll then, what are you doing here? Get to class before you're given six detentions!" Lea snaps and hurries off the other way," I'll see you after class. As long as your still alive."

I rush off to English, preparing for the worst. When I get to the door, I take a deep breath in and go for it. I open the door quickly and quietly and rush to the back of the room and find a seat. Her back is turned so maybe I'll be lucky for one and go unnoticed.

"We'll how nice of you to finally join us, Cindy," She mutters through her teeth. Crap. I'm screwed. She turns around and looks right at me, piercing my soul.

"I'm sorry, Step- I mean Mrs. Tremaine" I sink into my seat.

"Yes well, we will discuss this after class. As for the rest of you, please open your books to page ninety-seven."
