Dean awoke to the smooth familiar sound of his brother's voice mixed with the sweet tone of his mother's. They were whispering as if in fear he'd wake. To late for that, he muttered to himself as he eased his eyes open and saw them watching him. Seeing him to be awake despite their efforts, they both smiled kindly and came to his side.

"Hey what's up, Dean?" Sam spoke first, his voice soft and warm like he was still a little kid and Dean was stuck in bed sick again. He grinned back as a yawn came over him.

"Oh nothing...but how long have you been here anyways?" he asked, easing himself onto his elbows with a small grunt. Sam watched him carefully and took time to answer the question with a glance to their mother.

"Oh uh, only like five minutes actually. I promise!" he added when Dean gave him a look of disbelief. Dean rolled his eyes and looked to Mary, who nodded.

"OK then, well, lets get discussin'. Here's how its gonna go: I ask the question, you answer. Got it?" he instructed towards Sam, who nodded just as his mother had moments ago. He began mindlessly drumming his fingers on the bed sheets

"Firstly, I heard you yelling for me to run - back at the tournament - how did you know?! I mean, you sounded pretty far away and I didn't even see that guy coming..." he squinted at his nervously tapping brother. Sam glanced around at different random things before locking eyes with Dean and heaving out a sigh.

"I didn't see him coming, I saw him coming." he stated, and Dean snapped at him to 'elaborate Captain Cryptic'. Sam pursed his lips and continued.

"Well, you see, I...I have these visions, right? They don't happen very often but when they do, they usually end up coming true at some point whether that 'some point' is a few minutes away or a month. They've been happening ever since I turned 22 and I'm so clueless to why and I've been really afraid to tell you guys because I know you'll never look at me the same and I feel ashamed that I'm the one to bring the family down with being a freak and I'm just terribly frightened altogether and I had one when I was in the tournament that showed that guy coming up behind you while you're gun was jammed and he shot you in the head and I couldn't let that happen obviously so that's how I saw it coming and I was meaning to tell you but..." his winded voice tapered out and he rubbed the heel of his hands into his eyes where tears were forming. His mother and brother sat wide eyed, their jaws slack with awe. Mary slowly rested her hand on his shoulder and he looked at her from under his long eyelashes.

"It's OK, Sammy." was all she could say. Dean licked his lips and chewed on the inside of his cheek, going into deep thought on what he'd just been informed. The room was quiet, silence gripped and squeezed their hearts until they could take no more.

"Sammy, can you remember anything else from your...visions?" Dean asked softly, the gentleness of his voice acting like a knife in the jungle of question that wanted to surface from the family. Sam sighed profusely and ran a hand through his hair.

"I...I think...I remember....before the boy...uh....shot you....I think he said....'for the new age'...what does that mean, do ya think?" He pursed his lips, looking from his brother to his mom as a look of worry clouded their faces.

"I...thought we'd have more time...I..." their mother choked out as tears swam in her wide blue eyes. Her sons looked to her with quizzical glances, their faces long. Dean asked her what she meant.

"Well...oh God I didn't think he'd actually meant it! Remember when Sam got hurt and had to go to the hospital and the Edible Vibe...well, later the man came to Sam's room and said all those things and....the warning he gave me was the reason why I started teaching you guys all those things and why we left practically right after." She concluded, looking everywhere but at her sons who gaped at each other.
