"Are you sure you want to return?" the elderly woman asked as she stroked the face of her son. "I'll be worried about you" she said and looked at the taxi worried.

Seonghwa laid his own hand's over his mother's. "I'll be fine, Mom, mhm ? It's been a year, I need to get back to work now" he said and kissed his mother on the forehead. Seonghwa went over to his father and closed him in a tight hug.

"This door is always open for you" his father said and patted his back. "No matter when or why" he added and spared a glance over to the man standing a little offside. The father knew that Jongho had a big influence on his son, and he was endless thankful for everything he had done for him. For three months he had been soming to visit them every weekend, to help Seonghwa to get back on his feet, to encourage him to try again. But there was one thing he couldn't be sure about, and that were his intentions. Because it was sure that his son was head over heels for the handsome younger. And depending on the other's intentions, Seonghwa's condition was endangered. He didn't like the dependency but there was nothing he could do. Only hope and wait.

"I know, I know" Seonghwa gave back and took in his father's smell. "But it's time" he sighed and parted. "I'll be fine, I won't be alone either, you know?" he smiled sadly and looked over to Jongho who respectfully bowed.

The father pressed his lips together and nodded. He got a hold of his wife's hand and held it tight. "Mhm, we're sure about that" he replied and gave Jongho a warm smile.

The family said their last goodbyes, before finally parting their ways. Seonghwa and Jongho got into the taxti that would bring them to the train station.

"Are you excited?" Jongho signed as he eyed his elder up and down. Seonghwa looked so much healthier now, at least he looked like he was getting any sleep. The sick paleness was gone, the dark circles had healed and the constantly distressed look in his eyes had softened.

"I'm nervous. Feels like I'm about to explode" Seonghwa chuckled dryly and laid his hand carefully on the younger's thigh. "Mhm but I think with you... I think everything will be much easier" he beamed and tilted his head. Faint sunlight came through the darkened windows of the taxi, farming the younger's silhouette just perfectly. Like a gloriole. For him, Jongho was an angel sent from heaven to save him from the dark caverns his mind had created. Deep down he knew he shouldn't have allowed himself to get too attached to him, but it felt like only his mercy was the string holding him together. Because in the end, he had been the one to cause all this chaos, all this misery. No matter how many times the younger would tell him that he had never found fault in him, Seonghwa would never complete believe. It was engraved in his mind, right in the front: the lights, the car, Jongho's last words and the hissing of the breaks, the loud crash and the silence. The silence and unspoken words Jongho was caged in. Seonghwa knew that there would be no day without these memories crossing his thoughts, they were there and permanent. But Jongho next to him made them bearable, he made his miserable life and pain bearable. He felt like he could breath again, sleep again, and live again. Jongho had become everything he needed, and this was and would be an unhealthy one-sided love.

Seonghwa jumped in his new bed, spread his arms wide and let out a relieved sigh. "This is so~ soft. Jongie! Come, try it!" he giggled and sat up, opening his arms for the younger that rolled two suitcases into the room.

"You're jumping around like a child"

"Tsk, bold of you to assume I ever grew out of that" Seonghwa laughed and climbed off the bed to drag Jongho on it. First he couldn't move him but with little tickles it turned out to be quite easy. The elder was in his knees next to Jongho, hovering his face over his. "See? Have you ever seen a bed with such softness?"
