Often he wondered what was worse; having romantic feelings for your closest friend and never getting closure or confessing and getting your heart broken for the moment.

It was a different fight every day; playing like it didn't bother him that he was close to everyone else, playing as if it didn't bother him to listen to how well of a partner he would make for someone else.

Yunho nudged his side, bringing him back from the tunnel of thoughts. "You're making it a little obvious," he mumbled as he stretched himself over, warming up for the practice. "You're glaring."

"Sorry," he hummed and turned away, continuing his warm-up exercises. He wanted to bled not out, he couldn't be distracted; they had an important practice today, he needed to be attentive. Yet the giggles and laughs from the other side of their practice room echoed clearly. He would have bet he did it on purpose.

But San was not aware of anything. Not aware of the feelings the younger had developed, not aware of the jealously, the envy. For him, it was just him being himself; the sunshine of them all, making sure everyone is in a good mood, looking out for everyone, enjoying cuddles from everyone.

"Okay guys, you know the shootings for the last episode of kingdom are soon. We have this and the next practice left. I want you to only perfect the moves now, we don't have time to change major steps. Please keep concentrated and practice the details," their choreographer explained before he stood in front of them and the music started to play.

"Wooyoung-"

"I'm sorry, I will do it again."

And he did, failed, sighed, and stood up again, attempting another try. He was frustrated, angry even that such an easy part seemed to be impossible for him to do. So, from there just everyone watched him in silence, watched him fail and stand again, just to fail and growl up in anger.

"Wooyoung," Hongjoong then called. The younger knew the tone of the leader all too well. He didn't even dare to look the elder in the face as she stood still in the middle of the room. "I think you üractices enough today," he said, ordering him to go home under the covers. "Take a rest for today."

A light knock at the door made Wooyoung take out one of his earphones. "Yeah?"

The door pushed open and San timidly entered the room. He closed it shut behind him and sat on the edge of the younger's bed. "The others are eating dinner. Why didn't you come?" he asked and öaod his hand caringly onto his thigh.

"No appetite today," Wooyoung explained shortly and pushed his head deeper into the pillow. His eyes were fixed on the ceiling, he didn't dare to look somewhere else. "Why aren't you eating with them?"

San pressed his lips in a thin line. "No appetite anymore," the elder gave back and shrugged his shoulders. The elder pushed Wooyoung to the side, more or less willingly the younger moved, and crawled underneath the covers with him.

"What are you doing-"

"Laying down, can't you see?" San chuckled and was fast to sling his arms around Wooyoung tightly. He held him secure against his chest and it was surprisingly easy. The younger didn't protest at all, just let him do what he needed to. "If you won't eat, I won't either."

"That's dumb," the younger replied into his chest.

"Not eating just because is dumb, too."

Wooyoung felt like choking. It was hard for him to breathe, it was hard to sort his thoughts and make his mind stop racing. He felt it again, the frustration that seemed to burn him from the inside. He held him, but not the way he wanted him to. And he would never; that's what felt like a poisoned dagger splitting his heart.
