Akko:

Diana and I have had a sort of... thing going on for about a week and I really want to ask her to be my girlfriend but I don't know how.

I mean we've gone on 'dates' so it's not like a thing-thing but it's a thing. I mean I may be completely wrong. Does she even like me platonically? I mean we've been hanging out a lot but does she just pity me? Is that why she hangs out with me? I mean i really like her....

No. No. Akko, you are doing this. You are going to tell this girl that you like her and have actually liked her for quite a bit.... how do I tell her though? I mean... I could take her out but I don't want her to feel pressured say yes just because we are in public.

It can't be her room because if she wants to leave I would just be in there and if she rejects me and I want to leave and we are in my room that's hecka awkward.

Can I ask someone for help? Is there someone to ask for help? Who do I know well enough to ask that knows Diana well enough to help me. I mean Hannah and Barbra but they don't completely like me yet. They more so tolerate me. Andrew. Perfect.

I mean Andrew has known Diana forever, they're basically siblings. I'm pretty sure they're cousins? I don't know. I need to go ask him. Now. I mean it's Sunday so it's perfect, I can go off campus because it's the weekend and I don't have class.

I send Andrew a quick text 'hey, I need to talk to you about something, are you at your place?' 'Yea, I'm here come over whenever.' 'Ok, sweet, see ya in a bit' thank beatrix he's home.

"Hey, Ima go into... town for a bit" town. Town works. "Ok sweetie, just be back before sundown." Lotte says from her bed moving her head so she can look at me. "No problemo Lotte, it won't take to long" "ok, have fun" sweet.

I mean Lotte knows I like Diana but I feel like it would be awkward to tell her I'm going to Andrew for advice seeing as I usually go to her. Plus it's already two so I should get going, it takes a bit to get to his house. "Okay, byeee, have fun!" Lotte yells at me. "Ok, you too!" You too? She's just reading. I'm such a loser.

I go walk out of my dorm and into the hallways towards the gate to the outside world. How dramatic, and of course it's raining like any good indie film.

"Atsuko." Diana. "Oh, hey Dia." I scratch the back of my neck nervously hearing Diana say my name. "What are you doing?" "Oh. I'm just going into town I need to pick up some... things"

Diana:

"Oh, I'm just going into town, I need to pick up some... things" things? Odd. "Maybe I'll join you," I guess this is happening " I have already finished all of my work and studies properly for the test next week, I could take a break for the rest of the day."

She looks at me, her eyes widening.... did I say something wrong? Did I invite myself? Oh dear. "Oh, I would love that but I'm kinda meeting up with... someone" someone... is she going on a date? Shit. Of course, I missed my chance. Maybe I never had a chance.

"Oh, cool. Cool. Cool, Ima go" I shot her with finger guns. God I'm such a loser. "See...ya" "ok, see ya later Dia" she looks at me weird. I fucked up. I fucked up. I shouldn't have invited myself. I mean who does that? Assuming I could come.

Akko:

She shot me. With finger guns. And it was cute. Like really cute, she's really cute. I mean she's perfect. I need to leave. I mean my face is heating up rapidly fast. "Ok, see ya later Dia"  I quickly walk away hoping not to give anything else away.

I fly my broom over to Andrews abode. I put in my head phones and listen to some rock/grunge music. It was pretty peaceful, the wind in my hair, music blasting in my ears.

I'm here. What do I say? I knock. Why would I knock before knowing what I should say? Here we go. "Hey, Andrew, I need to talk to you, cool?cool." I walk into his house not even waiting for him to invite me in. This is too important.

"Ok, so here's the haps, I have a major crush on Diana and by Major I mean Humongous, like I can hardly breath when I'm with her and she makes my legs shake and my heart pound. I want to tell her but I don't know how so you seemed to be the best person To go to."

"Akko?" "Yea?" I say slightly out of breath. I guess I have a lot to say about this. "That's a lot to unpack." "Yea, I guess." "Do you think she likes you back?"

Andrew:

"Do you think she likes you back?" She does. I mean have you seen the way those girls act around each other? And they are still absolutely oblivious to the others feelings. "I mean, probably not but it's worth a shot, right?" 'Probably not' what kind of bull-

"Of course it's worth a shot and she probably likes you back" she definitely likes you back, you dumbass. "You think?" "Yes" I know. "So I need your help to tell her." Now that is something I can do. "Ok, no problem"

I can't believe the girl I used to have a crush on is asking me for advice on asking out my cousin.  It's fine but honestly kinda hilarious.

"Ok let's work this out," I sit the girl on my couch and go to the kitchen to grab some tea and chips. "Where were you thinking?" "I don't know, maybe the park? It can't be either of our rooms and it can't be like a restaurant or something."Park. I can work with that. "That works"

We put on a movie for some background sound and talk about all the details. Big and small. We eat the chips and drink the tea perfecting the 'big ask' to a T.

This is gonna be awesome.
