Rinnggg
Rinnggg
The sound of Castiel's ringtone blared though his room, making him wake up from his sleep.
He patted his hand around his bedside table, and when he found it, he swiped the answer button, and put the phone up to his ear.
"Hello?" He said, his voice deep and rough from sleep.
"Hey, this is Cas, right?" The voice said.
"Yeah.. and who is this?"
"Its Dean."
"Oh, hi," Cas smiled.
"Hey, so I called to ask you if you're free Thursday?" Dean asked.
"Oh, yeah, I am."
"Ok, what time should i pick you up?"
"Uhh," Cas though for a moment, "anytime after 5 's good."
"Ok, well, I'll talk to you then, bye Cas."
"Wait!" Cas said, realizing something.
"Mhm." Dean hummed.
"I didn't give you my number, how did you get it?"
"I have my ways..." he stopped there.
"And they are...?" Castiel asked.
"A secret." Cas could practically hear the smirk in Dean's response.
"Ok, bye Dean."
"Bye, see you then." Dean said, hanging up the phone.
~~~
"You what?" Charlie practically screamed.
"I got a date." Cas smiled, a light pink staining his cheeks.
"And you didn't tell me until now because...?!" She said, rolling her hands, implying for him to continue.
"I didn't tell you because I knew you'd be all excited about it and make it a huge deal."
"Cause' it is a huge deal!" Charlie yelled.
"Keep it down Charles! I'm trying to study!" Meg yelled from the living room.
"Sorry," Charlie replyed.
"Wait, who with?" She said.
"Dean Winchester," Cas smiled.
"Like the captain of the football team Dean Winchester?!"
"Yeah, I think so."
"Dude! This makes it an even bigger deal!" She said, getting excited again.
"Would you calm down if I let you help me get ready?" Cas asked.
"I was already planning on it, so maybe, but probably not. I'm helping you no matter what!" She smiled, clapping her hands and getting up, "I'm gonna go start planning!"
"Ok, have fun I guess," Cas said, watching her close the door.
He picked his phone up and dialed a phone number.
"Yeah, hey Dean, so I was just wondering where were going?" Cas asked.
"It's a surprise." Dean said mischievously.
"Fine, I'll see you tonight."
"Bye," Dean said.
"Bye." Cas set the phone back on his bed and laid back.
"So where are you going?" Charlie said, bursting into the room.
"I don't know, he said it was a surprise." Cas said dreadfully.
"That makes it a little harder for me, but why do you sound so sad about it?" She asked.
"Cause' I hate surprises," Cas said, closing his eyes.
"Oh, well let's get you up, we need to start getting ready." Charlie smiled, pulling him up by his sleeve.
"But we still go two and a half hours left," Cas whined.
"And were behind schedule already, now let's go." She said, Cas fully standing now.
She dug around in his closet and handed him an outfit. "Here, try this on."
"As you wish," Cas said, smiling at his reference, Charlie chuckled and walked out of the room.
After a couple minutes Cas came back out, wearing a pair of black jeans with a rip on the knee, a black t-shirt, a blue jean jacket, and a pair of brown Timberland boots.
"Looks good Cassie!" Charlie smiled.
"Oh don't call me that," Cas muttered.
"Fine, but that's good, now you hair!" Charlie dragged him into the bathroom and grabbed the hair gel.
~~~
When she was done, Cas' hair was spiked up in all different directions.
"Like it?" She asked.
"Its kinda.." he paused, "messy."
"Well duh! It's supposed to look like that!" She said, still overly excited.
"Why?"
"Cause I heard that people like it ya know, and I think it looks good." She smiled.
"Whatever you say. What time is it?"
"Uhh.." Charlie checked her phone, "4:43"
"Ok, Dean's supposed to come over soon."
"Yes! I still can't believe you finally got a date!" Charlie exclaimed, shaking Cas' shoulder.
"Thanks for all your faith in me." Cas said sarcastically.
"Anytime Cas!" She went along with his sarcasm, the let got of his shoulder, sitting on their itchy, blue couch.
The sound of a knock at the door echoed through the small house. Charlie burst up with a spike of energy, and ran to the door. She didn't even bother getting Cas from his room before grabbing the knob and twisting, opening it in a swift motion.
"Hey! You must be Dean!" Charlie said enthusiastically, holding a hand out for him to shake. He took it, and smiled.
"So.. where's Cas?" Dean asked, peering into the small opening that the door let be visible.
"Oh, he's in his room, I'll go get him!" She smiled, leaving the door open and running away from vision.
Dean could hear her shout; "Cas get your ass out here! Dean's here!" Dean laughed at her quietly and waited for them to come back.
"Hey, sorry 'bout her." Cas said, walking out the door and rubbing the back of his neck.
"Oh no, that's totally fine." Dean smiled.
Cas didn't say anything, just walked down to the Impala with Dean. Dean opened his door and Cas copied him.
"So," Dean started, "what kinda music do you like?"
"Uh.. I don't know." Cas said, he'd never really listened to much music, except for at parties, so he didn't really have a preference.
"Ok then, were listening to mu music." Dean concluded, a small smile paying at his lips.
The song Eye Of The Tiger started playing and Dean was obviously loving it. He was drumming his fingers on the wheel and bobbing his head up and down. Cas didn't have all the confidence Dean seemed to, so he just tapped on his legs, even though he was thoroughly enjoying it.
"Were here." Dean started, twisting the key out and the car stopped making noise.
"Ok," Cas smiled over at Dean, who had a wide grin plastered on his face. Cas looked at his eyes.
Damn was his first though. He could see all the lively happiness in his eyes. One look at his eyes, and he was mesmerized, they had a darker rim around the outside, but the rest was a vibrant forest shade.
By the time Cas snapped out of his thoughts, Dean was staring back at him.
"Let's go." Cas smiled.
