daehyun walked into the nct 127 dorm and sighed as he walked over to their kitchen.
doyoung and jaehyun, who were standing by the living room couch, gave each other a confused look before following the younger boy.
daehyun grabbed an apple from the counter and turned around, flinching and dropping his apple on the floor.
doyoung bursted out laughing and jaehyun soon copied him while daehyun pouted and sat on the floor by his fallen apple.
"what's wrong, dae?" jaehyun asked as he stopped laughing and sat down beside the boy.
doyoung sat on daehyun's other side and the brunet leaned his head on his best friend's shoulder.
"it's nothing, i'm fine guys."
"are you overworking yourself again?"
"daehyun, you said you'd take more breaks when you work." jaehyun frowned and texted johnny to buy some ice cream for daehyun.
doyoung let out a small sigh, "what's your schedule look like?"
daehyun chuckled, "i have to finish writing the lyrics to my new song and piece together a choreography for it. i have to then record the song and perfect the dance before i have to release it. i have a fansign this afternoon and i'm not sure if i can stay awake long enough. i need coffee, i need jaemin's death coffee."
doyoung and jaehyun looked at him with wide eyes, "you're not having jaemin's coffee order. no way."
daehyun pouted, "fine, but i still need coffee before the fansign."
"why don't you reschedule it? how much sleep did you get?"
"last night or in the past week? it doesn't matter, i can't disappoint my fans."
the door opened and a voice yelled, "where are you?"
"kitchen!" jaehyun yelled before johnny entered the room with yuta, taeyong, and jungwoo.
"i don't think i want to know why you're all on the floor."
daehyun looked at them and smiled when his eyes landed on yuta. yuta smiled back and went over to sit down in front of him.
"are you okay, sunshine?"
daehyun nodded while the two boys beside him shook their heads.
"he's overworking himself and is barely getting any sleep," doyoung explained.
"again? now i get why i was told to buy ice cream."
"is there anything we can do to help you?" taeyong asked as he sat beside yuta, johnny and jungwoo joining the rest on the floor after grabbing a handful of spoons for them to share the ice cream.
daehyun looked at all of them with a sad smile, "thanks, but i'm sure you all have your own stuff to do."
"nope, we're helping you. we can start by getting you ready for your fansign."
"we're eating the ice cream first, right?"
