The dwarf explained how a man named Prince Caspian blew the horn that once belonged to Susan, and shortly after he was taken by the telmaraine soldiers. He proceeded to tell us that Caspian is with his other Narnian friends, Trufflehunter and Nikabrik.

"Well then we better keep moving. Whats your name?" King Peter asked the dwarf.

"Trumpkin, your Highness."

As we made our way over to the boat, I noticed Peter and Edmund were whispering to each other in front of Susan and I. I didn't hear what they were saying because Susan was telling me a story about this one suitor she had that was a horrible person, and she and Edmund had to practically escape his castle. Then Peter nodded to me and Edmund glanced back at me, then back at Peter.

Are they talking about me?

For the first part of the ride we were pretty silent. Every once in a while Edmund would whisper something funny or sarcastic to me and make me giggle. He seemed more confident, like he wasn't nervous at all. Which in turn made me nervous.

Honestly, it was hard not to catch feelings. I haven't been in this place for more than a day, but I feel like I've been here forever. I didn't want to remember my life before this, because right now it didn't matter. I was with the most charming boy I had ever met (after he got over some awkwardness), and I had become good friends with him and his siblings.

"Thats impressive." Edmund said to me nodding towards my bow.

"Thanks. But your sister is a better shot than me." Even though I knew I would never miss.

"Oh don't be silly. We both hit that soldier. And you are a woman after all, and we tend to have better aim than the boys." Susan said with a smile, that I returned.

"Its not my fault that I hit that tree, it was the wind." Edmund protested, probably referring to an old memory that the Kings and Queens shared when they were here.

We all chuckled. Except Trumpkin, he was kind of a sulk type.

"You weren't too bad yourself when you knocked Trumpkin on his backside." I was trying to get a response out of the dwarf to lighten him up a bit, but he was dead set on being miserable.

"Thanks, I was a little rusty. But he was a good opponent." Edmund was trying to do the same thing as me, but all it got him was a slight scoff.

Me and the four siblings were talking about everything that came to mind about Narnia, how they got there, Aslan, and how they defeated the white witch. I felt myself growing more and more comfortable with them and I got to know them pretty fast, and I could tell they were comfortable with me too. I also felt like I got a better sense of my surroundings. Narnia was truly magical, and I never wanted to leave.

Then Lucy changed the subject to something a little gruesome.

"They're so still." She said while looking at the trees.

"They're trees, what do you expect." Trumpkin said as pessimistically as possible.

"They used to dance." she defended.

"Not long after you left the telmaraines invaded. Those of us who survived retreated into the woods. And the trees, they retreated so far into themselves they haven't been heard from since." Trumpkin said as he looked off into the distance, as if he was reliving a horrible memory.

"I don't understand," Lucy pleaded. "How could Aslan have let this happen?"

"Aslan?" Trumpkin scoffed. "I thought he abandoned us when you lot did."
