"Mike! (Y/n)!"
You let out a laugh as a little girl ran out of her house to greet you. You hadn't even been able to make it up the front steps before two arms were wrapped around your torso.
"Hey, Charlie girl! You excited for tonight?" you questioned as you knelt down to wrap your arms around her.
"Yes!" she replied, nodding her head frantically before turning to the man standing behind you. "Mike! Will you help me build a pillow fort later!?"
"Course I will kiddo," he replied with a grin as he chucked her up in the air. Charlie let out a loud laugh as she was caught, before breaking out in hysteric giggles as she was thrown over Mike's shoulder. "After you Boss," Mike grinned as he gestured for you to enter the house, Charlie still slung over his shoulder.
"Your saviour, is here!" you cried as you entered the home with your arms outstretched.
"Loki!?" Henry cried as he looked up at you from his place on the couch, "I've always wanted to meet him!"
"Ding dong," you grumbled, smacking him upside the head as you passed, "I am way better Loki."
"No, you're not."
"Yeah, you're right."
You limped towards the couch as you flopped down next to your friend. "Leg still playing up?" Henry questioned as he sent you a concerned look. "Isn't it always?" you replied with a chuckle.
It had been a year since the incident. A whole year! You and Mike were getting along great and were practically inseparable. The Pizzaria had been shut down as promised, and all of the old animatronics were moved into the backrooms of the Diner. The door locked. They were mainly just used for scrap parts now, and you had to admit. You felt slightly bad. You and Mike mainly worked at the Diner now with Jeremy and Fritz. You had to say, night shift was a lot easier too. You took months upon months to recover, and even though you were doing well now, you still had a darn limp. You were pretty used to it at this point though. You'd had around seven surgeries in the last year, and your body was littered with fading scars. Luckily most could be hidden under clothes. Unfortunately, there were days when your pain just seemed to come back to you, and you ended up spending the day in bed feeling like crap. As always, however, Mike was right beside you.
Not much more had been found out about the children's murders, though you were trying your hardest. Luckily nothing bad had happened at the Diner, and you had your fingers crossed that nothing ever would. Although, you had this strange feeling right in the pit of your stomach that something bad was coming... again.
On a brighter note, Charlie and Mike had become really close, and the two spent heaps of time together. Mike was often bringing the girl to various events and offering to babysit, and the girl absolutely adored him! William had seemed a little distance since that particular Christmas however. Often hiding away in his workshop for hours upon hours at a time. Barely ever joining in with events you and Henry had organise. It took a lot of nagging to get him to do anything. You had no idea what he was working on down there, and you just assumed it was something to help him deal with everything, and if that was so. You weren't going to stop him.
Funerals had been held for all five of the missing children, and you made sure to attend all of them and pay your respects. Mike and Henry came along to them all, as did Jeremy and Fritz. Only Cassidy's family had decided to press charges, and you'd donated money to each of the families in an attempt to help them out a little. Let's just say, Freddy Fazbears didn't have much money.
Since all the events that had happened in the last two years, you often suffered extreme night terrors and were absolutely terrified to look under the bed. Still, you powered through, and on this particular night, Henry and Sarah were going to stay the night in a hotel for their anniversary. So? You and Mike happily volunteered to look after Charlie. She was ecstatic!
"Hi (Y/n), hi Mike! its a pleasure to see you both," Sarah called as she hurried into the room, fumbling through her bag for her phone, "It's so nice of you to watch Charlie."
"Its a pleasure," Mike replied with a smile, finally setting Charlie back on the ground, "We love spending time with her."
"That we do," you replied with a smile as Mike came to lean on the back of the couch behind you, kissing your forehead gently.
"Are you sure you're up to it?" Henry began to fret, "I mean if you're feeling to sore-"
"I'm fine Henry," you cut him off, "Now you two. Get out."
You rose from the couch, grabbing Henry's hand and pulling him after you before shoving him and Sarah towards the door. "We are going to have a great time, and so are you. So go away! Go have fun." The two began to protest but you paid them no mind as you shoved them out the door, slamming it shut behind you.
"Sheesh, I thought we'd never get of them," you joked as you turned around to face the two people behind you,
Soooo... What should we do now?" A wide grin cracked across Charlie's face and she began to jump around excitedly."I know just the thing!" she cried. For an eleven-year-old, she seemed to have way too much energy. You chuckled slightly as you remembered her and Michael together. She'd always been the cheerful, outgoing one, whereas he was somewhat shy yet never afraid to speak up for what he believed in. You felt your heartache slightly at the thought, Michael had been a year older than Charlie. Meaning he'd be around twelve by now, almost a teenager. You couldn't help but let your face fall slightly. He had such a bright future... and now?
You shook off the thought as you forced a smile back to your face. "Oh yeah? What's that?" you queried, kneeling down to Charlie's height with a grin.
"Tea party with Ella!" she cried in excitement. Ella was the name she had given to the doll you'd given her on that one particular Christmas. She loved that doll to pieces!
"Oh, yeah," Mike replied, a slight sarcastic tone in his voice.
"Oh come on ya big grump," you chuckled, looping your arms in his as you pulled him after you, "I'm sure you'll have a great time!"
