"Why. Am. I. So. Broke," you smacked your head onto your desk for the hundredth time that day, scattering bills and other bits of paper all over the place.
"Hey Doll, I brought you a hot choc- what are you doing?"
"Wallowing," you replied, your voice muffled as your face was still smooshed against your desk, "And regretting my life decisions." A cup of steaming liquid was placed beside your head and hands began to carefully gather up the loose papers.
"Not all of them I hope," Mike chuckled beside you.
You turned your face to the side, cheek now pressed against the wood of your desk as you gazed up at the man with an innocent look on your face. "Weeeeeell." Mike rolled his eyes before flicking you in the forehead and pushing you off your chair. You fell to the ground with a thump as Mike then proceed to spin around, a grin plastered on his face. "I like these chairs," he commented.
"Did you really have to shove me off?"
"Yes."
You rolled your eyes before hauling ourself to your feet and sticking your tongue out at the man. He sent you a smirk but soon began to pout as you turned away from him, crossing your arms over your chest in annoyance. "Aw come on Doll. You've been sitting in this chair all day, it was the only way I could think of to get you to move."
"There were plenty of other ways," you huffed, not daring to look back at the man. You knew full well he was doing his puppy dog eyes and you were not in the mood to be giving in so easily.
"Come on Boss," Mike sighed and you caught him holding his arms out to you from the corner of your eye. You shook your head furiously and continued to look away. You were in a BAD mood.
"Fine. Be that way." A small smirk crossed your face and for a moment you actually thought you'd won- that is. Until you heard the chair roll up behind you and pair of arms pull you down into their lap.
"Hey!" you yelped as Mike's arms snaked around your waist and his head appeared on your shoulder. "It's not fair, you always win," you grumbled in annoyance. Avoiding the man's fierce gaze.
"You're cute when you're mad," Mike whispered in your ear as he began to place kisses along the side of your jaw.
"Shut up Schmidt," you growled, though your voice didn't hold as much ferocity as you wanted it to.
"I do what I want," he replied as his lips drifted down to your neck. You bit your lip to stop your glare from wavering as he placed firm kisses across your skin.
"You do realise I need to leave for work in about two minutes right? I have to get ready," you tried to pry yourself away but Mike bit down gently and pulled you tighter against his chest. Your breath hitched and your heart was beating a million miles per second. You really didn't want to leave, but you didn't want to be late for your shift. "Miiiiike," you moaned whilst trying to pry his arms away from your waist.
"I'm not letting you go until you say you love me."
"Wait it was that easy?" you cried in annoyance.
"I'm waiting," Mike grinned against your neck.
"Ugh, fine. I love you."
"Say it like you mean it."
A loud sigh escaped your lips but you couldn't help but chuckle quietly. "Fine," you whispered, turning to place a kiss atop his head, "I love you."
"I love you too," Mike grinned back as he removed his arm from around your waist, finally allowing you to stand, '"Come on Boss. I'll drive you to work."
