Camo-Assassins

Description: Camo-Assassins are small, squishy and spiky gecko like dragons, with octopus-like camouflage abilities. They have a long, slender and flexible neck that can snake through small spaces. They are extremely flexible, with rows of retractable spikes. They have a relatively armour head with two pair of large spikes that sticks out of the very bony lower jaw. They have a bat-like nostril, a frill and long, round-tip horns. They have slightly translucent wing membranes. They have a very long tail and prehensile with several rows of small spikes at the tip of the tail. They have a three claw talon on their wings that they use for walking and grasping. They also have five claws on each limb. They have several rows of spikes running from the neck, back/underbelly and tail.

Abilities: Camo-Assassins can change the colour of their scales to match their environment to a frighteningly degree. Their talons have microscopic hair like scales that are used to aid their grip, giving them a gecko like grip on surfaces. They are capable of flattening themselves into a pancake like shape to crawl into tight areas of caves and lairs. Their lower jaw can split out in order to eat items larger than their heads. They are master climbers, able to scale near vertical terrain. They can spit blobs of acid that can corrode rock. They can navigate and hone in to the position of their homes similar to pigeons. They can detach their tail in a pinch and use it to distract opponents. They have a minor regeneration ability that allows them to repair damaged body parts. Came-Assassins can impersonate the voices of other creatures they hear for a myriad of purposes like intimidation of threats and the luring in of prey.

Weaknesses: Camo-Assassins are extremely vulnerable to electricity and are very sensitive to changes in electromagnetic fields, which can cause their scales to change colours against their will. They are frail dragons and aren't suited for combating the threats they encounter when hunting. Their regeneration ability is relatively weak in comparison to other dragons and are similar to Bone-Thieves in potency. They are vulnerable to sapphires which can cause mild discomfort and slight painful burns at the area of contact with the gemstone.

Diet: Camo-Assassins are primarily egg-eaters, they mainly dine on eggs laid by birds, reptiles and dragons that make their home in the mountains that Camo-Assassins make their homes. They have also been known to scavenge carcasses and hunt sick, old or young animals like deers and coyotes. They have also been known to follow Mountainous Triple-Slasher flocks as they gather food to steal any carcasses the Three-Tails have, though at great risk to themselves.

Social Structure: Camo-Assassins were primarily solitary dragons(prior to the formation of the Grim), they would lay claim to small areas in the caverns, ravines and crevasses to call their homes and will fend off other Camo-Assassins from their dens to live out their reclusive lives. Although, they have been known to form wakes that consist of their siblings and work together. However, they will meet up in order to raise dragonets, but once the dragonets have matured, the parents will part way. When they were incorporated into the Grim, many Camo-Assassins chose to keep this system, except the royal family (which was started by the most dominant Camo-Assassin during the time of The Scorching; (Queen) Nifle).

Lifecycle: Camo-Assassins start off as mottled eggs that resembles the rocky terrain of their habitat, they are often laid in clutches of 5-8. The eggs take up to 4 months in order to fully develop and hatch. At which point, the dragonets are tiny like rock grey adorable beans, they have the strongest potency of acid spit in their entire live for the first 8 years of their lives. The parents will take turns to get food and protect the young. Camo-Assassins are taught to hunt for themselves usually around the age of 3-4 and leave the nest at the age of 5 and reach sexual maturity at the age of 10.

Relations with other tribes: Prior to the Grim, Camo-Assassins were seen as pests to basically all dragon tribes, with the exception of a few odd flocks of Skywings and Thunderhorns that let them leave near them and protect against other Camo-Assassins. They are killed on sight by the majority of dragons, due to their habit of sneaking into dragon dens to feast on the eggs inside. After the formation of the Grim, Camo-Assassins had to agree to give up the consumption of dragon eggs (Grim Dragon ones though) and were accepted into the megatribe.

Sub-classes: Camo-Assassins don't have any subclasses.

Sister-Tribes: Will not confirmed with substantial proof, it is believed in some circles that Camo-Assassins are relatives of Rainwings, specifically that they are the descendants of 'Rainwings' who settled the Mountain ranges of Pyrrhia.
