Bone-Thief
Description: Bone Thief are large scaleless dragons that are covered in a sticky pine green secretion that is used to stick materials from the dragon's environment, mainly bones and foliage. They have curled, ram like horns and a large bat like nostril. They have a large lower jaw that forms large spikes along the mouth with some teeth from the lower jaw being shown when the mouth is closed. They have a long and thick tail that ends in a thin whip like tail-end that is covered in four rows of sharp spikes. They have large transparent wings that have a single large hooked claw on their end. The Bone-Thief is lined with several rows the spikes that run from the neck to halfway down the tail. They are often covered in bones, but they will cover themselves in the local foliage on occasion.

Abilities: Bone-Thieves have a bone-crushing bite that is capable of ripping through anything unfortunate enough to get its way. Their heads are very sturdy, capable of taking many blows. They secrete a sticky substance that can be used glue objects onto the dragon's skin or glue their opponents to their surroundings. Their tail is incredible flexible and strong, able to slash through armour and hide alike, crush opponents in their coils and act as a ranged weapon to keep opponents at bay. Bone-Thieves can spit a highly acidic acid that can cause painful burns and if not washed off can corrode into the opponent's skin and hide. Bone-Thieves have a booming and thunderous roar that they use to scare away threats. Their armour is used to instil fear into their foes or to blend the dragon into their surroundings. They also produce a mild fear-inducing mist that clings to their large wings, which they can spread with flaps of the wings. They also have a mild resistance to certain toxins.

Weaknesses: Bone-Thieves have a soft hide that is very easy to be damaged, which is why they used bone armour. Their bone armour while decently tough are brittle and can be easily ripped through by several dragons with great ease. Unlike most of their relatives, they have a weak regenerative property that can only help fix wounds and minor limb amputations. They are sightly made vulnerable to emeralds, which unlike their more regeneratively gifted brethren only gives them mild discomfort and slight burning at the area of contact. Their secretion is highly flammable and without it, they can't glue their armour to them or glue their opponent's up. Bone-Theives are also relatively fragile for dragons, being lightweight and physical weak in body strength. They need to keep distance with their foes in order to optimise their attacks and defence.

Diet: Bone-Thieves are scavengers who would follow the scent of carcasses and either eat an abandoned kill/corpse or use their acid and appearance to scare any predators at the kill sight. Other then that, they will hunt animals and sometimes other dragons when the opportunity arises. They will also eat coal, fluoride deposits and sulphur deposits.

Social Structure: Prior to the formation of the Grim and the establishment of the Bone-Thief monarchy, Bone-Thieves form committees that can number in the hundreds and work together under a matriarch who gains power by defeating the previous matriarch in combat. These committees will take to the air from dawn to midnight, some members stay at their den to protect it and the young from threats who discover the area, the caretakers also work to rear the dragonets and maintain the den. Then the hunting party splits into two main wakes; one that search for carcasses to scavenge and another that hunts for live prey. These hunting parties are led by the either the matriarch or her second or third in command. The roles are caretakers and hunters are interchangeable with the members of the kettle changing roles daily, though the injured will work as caretakers. Currently, there are several ladies who work under the queen of the Bone-Thieves, each one is in charge of a small area in either Pyrrhia or Vernica where they govern their citizens and aid their queen in the duties of the tribe. All bone-thieves in the Grim bow to the Ruler of the Grim and are under their order before their order monarch's.

Lifecycle: Bone-Thieves first start off as eggs which take a year to hatch. The young first start off with little nubs where their horns and spikes, they lack the tar-like secretion that coats the older dragons' hide would be and and are a pale grey with splotches of black and white , with big puppy-dog eyes, they are considered to be adorable to many other tribes. They are confide to the den until they are 7 years old, during which time, they begin producing their 'slime' and start covering themselves in bones and foliage. At which point, they are taken out of the den to go hunting and gathering. Bone-Thieves reach sexual maturity at the age of 15, at which point they are properly incorporated into the kettle. Some Bone-Thieves will find start to sire dragonets and the kettle will raise them. Bone-Thieves on average live for 200 years before dying of natural causes.

Relations with other tribes: Prior to the formation of the Grim, New Draugr Bone-Thieves were a more reclusive tribe, only having been working with Triple-Slashers, Thunderhorns, Nightwings and Rainwings. They were feared by the Death-Serpents and had a well-known hatred for their more hard shelled relative. They are also known to kill Camo-Assassins and Brain-Hunters on sight, using their resistance to toxins and their abilities to take out the pesky buggers. They give Cavern Guards a wide birth, avoiding the dangerous dragons unless they were supported by Triple-Slashers and/or Thunderhorns. They have been known however to hunt Cavern Tunnellers that they caught a whiff of or find. After the formation of the Grim, the Bone-Thieves joined the mega-tribe, where they became allies with the other Grim Dragons.

Old Draugr Bone-Thieves were a more timid tribe, being must more secretive then their Pyrrhian brethren. They weren't fond of the other tribes of Vernica, other then Nekas, prior to the arrival of the Thunderhorns to the continent, whom they became allies with for they similar beliefs and goals. Old Draugr feared the Stonewings and the many mountainous dragons, who would hunt them and their shape-shifting relatives, as well as the Quickstrikes of the rainforest, though they were known for hunting Tarwings and Pinewings.

Sub-classes: There are two groups of Bone-Thieves: Old Draugr and New Draugr.

Old Draugr are native to the continent of Vernica, they are smaller and more agile then their Pyrrhian version, with a less acidic but more abundant acid and more adhesive tar like secretion. They usually wear the bones of Pinewings, Tarwings, Wind-riders, Ospreywings and other prey items they can get their talons on, they are also more commonly known to use foliage to camouflage themselves into their surroundings.

New Draugr are native to Pyrrhia and are must larger and stronger then their Vernican relatives, with larger wings and a more flexible tail. They have an extremely corrosive acid spit, but have a milder fear-inducing mist as well. They usually wear the bones of non dragons, though they will look for dragon skulls to complete their appearance.

Sister-tribes: Bone-Thieves are closely related to the Neka, but are more distantly related to Brain-Hunters, Death-Serpents and World-enders.
