Chapter 9: 𝐻𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐹𝑢𝑛

The (h/c) haired wolf named Y/n walked around the woods, holding his stomach as it growled.
He hasn't ate much today and he was starving.

He needed food, he needed to hunt.
But he was afraid that he will be seen by the other clans.

What would happen if they found him here?
Kill him? Torture him? Put him in chains?

The wolf shook his head, trying to stop his thoughts.
They wouldn't really do that, right?
It's all his imagination.

Probably. . .

A growl made the (h/c)-ette snap out of his thoughts.
Right he's hungry.

Y/n searched around the area for fresh berries.
The rustling of bushes could be heard as the wolf looked around.

The wolf found some blueberries and sniffed it to check if it was sweet and not bitter.
He nodded pleased.

The (h/c) haired wolf picked some more and walked away with handfuls of blueberries.
His (h/c) tail wagged in delight.

The wolf placed the berries in a mini clearing and hid behind a bush.
His (e/c) eyes watched closely as he waited for his prey.

A rustle in the bushes caught the wolf's attention as he watched the berries even more intensely.

The rustles quieted down.
A rabbit came out of it and slowly walked over to the batch of blueberries on the forest floor.

The wolf slowly came out of his hiding place and approached the rabbit who was eating peacefully.
He bended down, ready to attack.

The rabbit popped its head up as it looked around.
The wolf froze, he did not want to let his lunch get away.

The (h/c)-ette drooled and licked his lips as he watched the rabbit slowly lowered its head down so it could continue eating.
The wolf approached the rabbit slowly and silently.

The (h/c) wolf dashed to to the rabbit in an attempt to catch it.
The wolf got ahold of the furry animal.

The rabbit kicked and tried to struggle to get out of the harsh hold.
The wolf opened his mouth ready to bite down the rabbit and eat it.

As the wolf lowered his head, the rabbit kicked him in the face, taking the (h/c)-ette by surprise.
The hunter let go of the rabbit in shock and fell backwards.

The wolf sat as he saw his lunch run away.

The wolf pouted but sighed.
He got up and went to search for more berries.

The wolf hid again as he watched the berries, waiting, again, for his prey to pop up and get eaten by him.
(E/c) eyes scanned the area around the berries.

(H/c) ears perked up when he heard a familiar rustling sound of bushes.
The wolf's eyes watched as a second rabbit hopped out of the bush and went to the berries.

The (h/c)-ette licked his lips as he, again, approached the eating rabbit.
He dashed forward and tried to bite the rabbit first.

The rabbit quickly turned around and ran away.
The wolf fell on his chin making him bite his tongue.

The (h/c) haired male whimpered as he sat up and stick his tongue out.
The wolf felt blood coming out of his mouth and sighed.

He just have to try again.

Five times.
He tried an extra five times to catch a rabbit.

And guess what?
He failed all five times.

The wolf laid on the ground as his stomach growled at him.

The wolf decided that going to the river might be best.
At least he could catch some fish and eat that.
On top of that there's fresh water there too.

The (h/c)-ette got up and started to walk towards the Abo Joshai territory but stoped.
He looked to his side as something caught his (e/c) eyes.

He picked up a white feather with black specks.
Maybe he didn't have to walk all the way to the Abo Joshai clan.
