Chapter 12: 𝐸𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑝𝑒

A bullet flew past the wolf, almost hitting his head.
He stumbled backwards in shock.

"Target sighted. Engage elimination," the middle human said.

The two other humans raised their guns.
(E/c) eyes widened.

The shots started.
The wolf quickly turned around and dodged the upcoming bullets and tranquilizers as he ran away.

"The target is getting away! After it!"
Yes, they called a living being an 'it'.

The wolf shook his head as he ran left and right trying to lose the killers.
Bullets nearly missing him as he heard the shots fire and heavy footsteps.

He doesn't want to die.
And he definitely doesn't want to die to pesky humans such as these.

The (h/c) wolf ran as his (e/c) eyes dart around the forest as he tried to navigate and find short cuts that could shake the murders off his tail.

The ran into an familiar yet unknown area.
Unlucky for our wolf, he ended up at a dead end. A cliff.

"Freeze!"
The wolf heard.

He turned around and was faced to faced, once again, to the same three humans with guns.
(E/c) eyes narrowed.

"Stop right there! You are surrounded!"

The wolf let our a growl and bared his teeth.
This made one of the humans flitch in fear.

The wolf noticed this. He had found the weakest link.
That human seemed to be a rookie at this job, first or maybe second day on the job of assassination.

"Target sighted," the humans raised their guns, "Fire in

The bullets flew towards the wolf.
But they missed.

The (h/c)-ette dodged the bullets and ran towards the shortest human.
The weakest one.

The wolf threw the gun the human had away and kicked the killer with all his might.
The human stumbled backwards and bumped into the other human, making him drop his gun.

The leader aimed his gun at the wolf and fired.
The wolf ran towards the two other killers, bullets following him but landing on the ground.

The wolf hid behind the weakest human, bullets fired into the killer's chest from the leader, killing his companion.
The body dropped to the ground as the leader stoped shooting and stared in shock.

"You ass!!" The second human yelled at the wolf.

The human pulled out a dagger and swung at the wolf.
Luckily the wolf dodged the attacks but did get cut on his cheek and arm.

"I'll kill you myself!!"
The human leaped at the (h/c)-ette, dagger in hand.

The wolf stepped to the side, making the human leap past him.
The (h/c) haired male grabbed the killer's arm, twisting it and putting it behind his back.

The human struggled.
The wolf growled as he bit into the struggling human's neck, letting the blood leak out.
Th second human was dead.

The wolf quickly stood up from the ground and faced the leader, the captain of the group.
The deadly (e/c) eyes pierced through the human's soul.

The wolf slowly approached the human, bloodlust in his eyes.
This made the human step back in fear.

The killer fumbled on his gun, and aimed it at the wolf.
He pulled the trigger but nothing happened.

He tried again, and again, and again.
He was out of bullets.

The human watched as the (h/c) haired wolf walked closer to him.
He searched his pockets for his dagger only to find it gone.

When he looked back at the wolf, he examined him closely, more exactly his hands.
The wolf had the leader's dagger in hand.

The human put his hands into a surrender position.
The wolf just smiled a slight shadow over his glowing (e/c) eyes.

"Thanks for being my lunch for the day."
The wolf leaped to the human as the leader's eyes widened.

His screams could be heard from miles away.

The wolf panted as he was covered in his own and the humans' blood.
His (e/c) eyes half closed from exhaustion.

He was close to the river but collapsed on the way there.
The (h/c)-ette laid there in his own blood, panting hard.

He just needed a little nap.
A peaceful nap.
