Summary: Shouto is upset at the fact that there lays a lifeless body in front of him.

"We're finally free" My voice soft and low.

"Welcome home
It's just you and me now
Standing alone
The world is ours" My footsteps heavy as I walked over to him.

"No, it isn't" His eyes not visible.

"Get in the car" A deep sigh.

"This isn't finished" He growled.

"What?" Confusion laced in my tone.

"Even though the kid's dead
I'm still seeing red
I'm just a shell of his form
That his innocence shed" He seethed at me as he stared at the corpse.

"He lived a good life and he gave it to you" I countered with a roll of my eyes.

"Oh, is that right?
You know it's not true
Look at him showered
In blood and flowers
Now look in my eyes
He still holds the power
After years and tears
And confronting his fears
He's dead on his record
For the world to hear" I looked away from him, not able to keep looking at the mop of green hair tainted with blood.

"And they'll all think
That it was suicide
But Katsuki I know
It was you inside" His tone was dangerously low.

"I saved him

'Til the moment he died" I argued as I referred to our deceased friend.

"You choked him out of his own
Goddamn mind
You promised the world to him
A goddamn lie" He yelled in anger.

"What do you want from me?" I turned around to face him with clear irritation.

"Oh, look outside yourself" he roughly grabbed ahold of my arm. Silence engulfed us.

"I won't help you take him down" I barely managed to get out.

"Fine
I'll do it by myself" He aggressively let me go and turned to walk back to him.

"You don't need it" I yelled as I ran after him.

"Oh, I know that I need it" He said as he stopped in his tracks.

"He's been gone for years
I know you can beat it" I tried to plea but he wouldn't listen to me. Not this time.

"No, look in the mirror
You know we both fear him
We're one in the same
We're afraid to be near him
We utter the name
With our spirits defeated
But you let me kill him
You're worse than Shigaraki" The words he spat at me filled with so much venom. A tear fell down my cheek.

"I told you to end it
It was all for the best" I cried out, not that it mattered.

"So I have you to blame
For this pain in my chest" he questioned once again.

"No!" I yelled out in frustration.

"If you won't go I will
To avenge the lost soul I killed" He said.

"You're filling your heart up with hate
All the same (no!)
As the kid (no!)
That you just left (no!)
Face down on the (no!)
Pavement! (Save it!)" We started talking over each other. I tried to convince him to not go but the trust we once had was slowly starting to slip away.

"It's time I made a statement
A pity the city has ruined us
We could've fooled Hollywood
Just the two of us
But
Shigaraki has made a fool of us" He turned around, hand on my cheek as his voice broke.

"You're lost" I spat angrily.

"One, two, three, four
Is this what love is really for?
Is this all I get for being yours?
The kid in front of me in blood and gore" He loudly questioned as he held my gaze. He leaned in, closing in on my lips.

"Five, six, seven, eight
Years put to waste for all I hate
They'll all know Shigaraki's fate
That show's about to start
Don't be late" Without hesitation he walked by me. It was like he returned to his old self. Void of emotions.

I let out a choked sob as I heard his footsteps disappear into the night. With a shaky breath I walked over to Deku.

"I'm so sorry." My voice shaky and broken as I closed his dull eyes. The cold night wind moving our hair around. I moved his bangs out of the way as I placed a soft kiss on his forehead. With one last look at him I walked away.

My heart weighing heavily in my chest the farther I got from my deceased friend.
