Aaron's POV

"Heartbreak is like jumping stone to stone at a river, straining to see through a thick fog, afraid every step you take will be your last until you slip and fall into a dark pit of your own sadness." The girl scribbled down this last sentence in her light blue journal and sighed. Her sorrowful gaze followed the rushing river as it roared passed her and you could almost see her sadness trickle out like a weak rain trying to overtake a sunny day. Alas, as I watched her even I knew she would never be the same, ever again, and I sternly told myself that there is nothing I could do for her. Yet... Somehow I was drawn to her. It might have been the way the sunlight reflected against her long, auburn hair as her pleading eyes shot up to the sky or I wanted to fix something beautiful in the peaceful world I had caused so much destruction in. Later on as I pondered this, years later I decided it was both.
