I awoke to a dripping noise and a weird stench. When I opened my eyes, the room was dark, but it wasn't hard to see once my eyes had focused. I was in some kind of barn, I thought. The floors were a bit wet. It was humid, and my hair was plastered to my forehead. I was tied up to a wooden pole. My wrists hurt so much. The dripping continued. I looked a bit closer at my surroundings and saw hay, tied up sacks and nothing more. Except for Niall, who also had his hands tied around a pole. It looked like he was coming to.
"Niall," I said in a low voice. "Niall, what's going on?"
"Looks like we were captured," Niall grunted.
No kidding, I thought.
All of a sudden, the barn doors opened and in walked the leeches who captured us. They strolled over to us slowly, looking like predators who were stalking their prey.
"Look at this," the Jennifer drawled. "They're awake."
"Let's have some fun, shall we?" Marcus said.
"What the hell do you want?" Niall spat.
"Aw, going straight to business?" the female vampire said. "I thought we'd have a small chat and some tea first. The weather's gloomy, isn't it?" So that's why the barn is damp. It was raining.
"Cut the crap, Jennifer. You're working for the King of Hell, aren't you?"
"Now why would we do that? All that king is is a piece of conceited trash. The Devil's play toy thing. We want nothing to do with him."
"Then why are you keeping us here?" I asked. And how are we getting out of here? I thought to myself. Then I remembered I had a small pocket knife in my jeans' back pocket. I managed to take it out and started to.saw the rope that had my wrists bound.
"We're forming a pack," Marcus said. "So far it's only the two of us. So, it's going to be the four of us."
"What do you say?" Jennifer asks rhetorically. "You'll get all the freedom you'd want."
"Thanks, but no thanks," Niall replied mockingly. "We've got some business to do. If you want to stay alive, I suggest you let us go."
"Nice try, blondie," Marcus laughed. "You're going nowhere."
"He's not kidding, you know," I butted in. "If we don't hit the road the King of Hell will find a way to start the apocalypse. Every single being that walks the earth now will either be dead or hunted by the king's little posy. Including you."
"Listen here, Missy," he said as he came as close to my face as possible. His breath reeked of blood. "If you think we don't know what's happening, you're wrong. And we know exactly who you are. So the quicker you let us do this, the quicker we will let you go. We just want to create a family." As he said this, the rope in was cutting finally let go of my wrists.
"I don't think so," I said with a smirk. Then, lashed out at him with my knife and cut him deep on his cheek, leaving a long scar oozing blood. It ended up that Niall, also freed himself and was now tackling Marcus. Meanwhile, Jennifer jumped me and we were now rolling around on the ground. I kept trying to punch her in the face and kick her in the groin while she was going for my neck. Instead of just two of her front teeth being sharp, all of them were. It was pretty scary, but I had to kill her. I heard Niall holler my name, and that distracted me for a second. But just that lost second was dangerous. Because at that exact moment Jennifer sunk her razor sharps into my neck. I screamed out in pain as her fangs sank deeper into my flesh.
